“Friendly people and good value food”
Reviewed June 3, 2013 via mobile

Visited last month with family, greeted by sujeet in restaurant who was very friendly and polite, food was good, sujeet made all efforts to make our dinner even better by giving us indian style salad however the dishes could have been better if we only asked the chef to make it indian way rather than modified for British public apart from that service is 5* and overall very happy with our dinner, will visit again as sujeet made promise to make us more authentic stuff in our next visit

“Horrible”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

I am an Indian & a big food fan after reading the reviews from trip adviser decided to give this restaurant a try...... Ordered 2 starters they were cold (malai chicken & chilly paneer)chilly paneer was more like cottage cheese in sweet & sour sauce Chinese style......Asked the waiter to recommend a chicken dish to go along with naan bread ( only saving grace was the naan bread the Murg Musallam(was served with an egg which wasn't peeled properly wife enjoyed the egg with bits of shell) was a tasteless dish funnily the chicken & the sauce were 2 different dishes they did not go together .....no seasoning awful meal spoilt my evening even the tomatoes were not cooked properly it was a very amateur effort .....never ever going to visit this place

“Good food, never mind the decor”
Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

I went twice to this place as I found it first time via trip advisor. After chatting to the owner I asked him to cook me some home cooked food (off menu) and booked in for the following day. This was one of the best meals I have had in a while from an Indian restaurant and I go a fair bit. The decor shows that it was once a greasy spoon. Booking is advised as they only have 27 covers so it can get full very quickly, on the Wednesday I went people got turned away and I only made it in because I arrived early. They need to tighten up on the incidentals, I.e. no hot towel for afterwards, after eight with wrapper removed, but go for the food and you won't be disappointed. The owner is trying to do something different and should be applauded for doing so.

Go whilst it is still unknown and before it becomes mainstream.

“Excellent take-away”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

We enjoyed a take-away while staying at Baltic Wharf Caravan Club site. The site is just over the footbridge from Coronation Curry House and there are many recommendations in the visitors book for this establishment. We enjoyed a selection of dishes which were all of good quality, very tasty and reasonably priced. Will certainly use again on our next visit to Bristol.
