Stayed at this hotel while visiting the city for a couple of days. Well located, both for arriving by car or by train (approximately 15 minute walk from Bristol Parkway).
Staff were very helpful when I rang to inquire how far the station was from the hotel, and whether there was an suitable footpath. We were also able to leave the car at the hotel (as we arrived much earlier than check-in) while we took the train to the city centre - les than 10 mins on the train.
The rooms were being refurbished while we stayed there, but noise and disruption were kept to a minimum (we probably wouldn't have been able to tell if we hadn't smelt the paint).
Room was very clean and tidy and a nice size. Breakfast (included with stay) was simple but fine for what we needed. Lack of trays though so had to juggle the plates back to the table.
Overall, a pleasant stay.

Stayed for a trip to Bristol on our way to Devon. The room was spotless and really comfortable for three. Buses outside to the city centre (about 20 minutes - look out for the Banksy on the way). You can also get to Bath from the bus there too.

We were shattered and had a comfortable and quiet sleep. Perfect!

The free breakfast was adequate for our journey.

We will stay if ever down this way again.

Situated just off the Bristol ring road, and handy for continuing travel on the motorway network. Free parking.
Good, clean, and well appointed room, if a little on the small side, but large TV and good broadband.
The hotel is very close (8-9 min walk) to Filton Abbeywood station (7-8 min journey to Bristol Temple Meads - under the railway bridge and turn left), or the 73 bus (journey to centre approx 25 min) stops opposite (and outside on return) - so handy for Bristo city centre without the noise and bustle there.
Good standard Hiex breakfast.

Brilliant stay, super helpfully , nothing seem too much trouble by the staff. Rooms clean, smart and tidy. Would recommend this hotel in a second to anyone. Breakfast was basic but very well laid out and again nothing to complain about. A1 stay

Basically very clean but, check the TV remote has been cleaned.
Our bed was very hard, what they used to call orthopaedic. This may well suit some people that like to sleep on the floor, however if you prefer a softer option a mattress topper may be a consideration.
Staff are lovely.
The hotel is being refreshed and some rooms smell of new paint and the area outside the breakfast area is full of busy workmen.
Hotel is on a noisy roundabout, but this is not a problem as you can keep the windows closed and use the aircon
Breakfast is filling and options include a range of items, but it's a good value for money option, so don't expect too much choice.
There is a pub next to the hotel and McDonalds just down the road and a big supermarket opposite, so you will never be short of options of food and drink.

Room Tip: Basically very clean but, check the TV remote has been cleaned. Our bed was very hard, what they use...

Thank you for your comments on your recent stay, I will pass your positive comments onto the staff. We are currently having a refurbishment in the hotel, I am sorry that the smell of paint was present in your room, we are working hard to try to keep disruption to a minimum for our guests. There are some developments happening next to the hotel which are separate to our refurbishments. The builders are continuing to liaise with us and we are making sure that this does not disrupt our guests experience in the bedrooms but unfortunately they are visible from the breakfast area. I am glad that you enjoyed the food at breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you to the hotel again in the future,
Kind Regards
Erica

we decided to stay in bristol as we'd never been before,we knew this particular hotel was on the outskirts (about 5 miles out) but that was not a problem as we knew the parkway train station was close by,we spoke to the young receptionist who was really helpful ,and she told us that in fact there was a closer station about a ten minute walk called abbeywood station ,the train journey only took 9 mins and very frequent £3.50 return, the second day we took the bus which stopped almost outside the hotel. that journey was about half an hour .The pub next door to the hotel was nice but the food was very expensive up the road past mcdonalds ,was a nice pub just re-opened ,called the king george the landlord was telling us that from this week they will be starting doing mealsl about half what the fox dene charge all in all a really enjoyable stay and would certainly stay again

I was looking for a cheap hotel near to Bristol for my brothers and I for a stag party, and found a great deal on this hotel. OK so it's not in central Bristol, and for £47 per room I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The rooms are clean, spacious, and well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. The staff were also great, and fell over themselves to help. Also, noise didn't seem to travel between the rooms, which is good - I'm fed up of staying in hotels with paper thin walls and huge noisy TVs, but this definitely wasn't one of those!

Breakfast was a little disappointing - full English consisted of overdone sausages, scrambled eggs and beans, and the coffee was the worst I have tasted for a very long time, but for the money I really can't complain.

So in all a great value budget hotel. I'd definitely stay again if we're in the vicinity.

Room Tip: All pretty good, from what I saw.
