Fairly new hotel and very comfortable. Excellent location if you are visiting DE&S @ Abbeywood (approx 10 min walk). Didn't eat in the hotel apart from breakfast, which was the usual complimentary continental breakfast with a couple of hot options available as well. The Fox and Hound is right beside the hotel and does excellent food, although it can get quite busy. The only complaints I would have are that you have to request an iron and ironing board instead of having one available in each room, and the advertised 'Free Wi-fi' gives you a whopping 0.1 Mbps. I found it 20 times quicker using 3G.

We booked two double rooms as we had a family event in Bristol over the weekend. We wanted a cheap but modern place to stay, and that's exactly what we got.

Service was very good, especially when one of our children was sick in bed at 2 am (it was disgusting). Our call to reception was answered immediately and we got new bedding within minutes.

Breakfast was adequate, but all included in the price of the stay, which was cheap enough.

We'd definitely recommend it.

We stayed here with 2 friends at a cost of £66.00 per couple per night - rooms spotless and a great breakfast included in the price.

All staff very helpful and friendly

And no access problem with the roundabouts - just keep left!

Nice hotel, bed comfortable spent three night’s staff even down to the cleaners friendly. Free Wi fi for one computer. Lots of choice on the telly, came for a course
Breakfast good could do with more choice not no vegetarian sausages or hash brown.
Plenty of parking, Sainsbury’s next door, McDonalds across the road, KFC up the road its next door to a pub/Restaurant did not try it.

On arrival. no one at front desk to check me in, two members of staff were behind the bar of the adjoining lounge, but neither of them made any effort to come and see to my needs for 5 mins. and then it was only to call out from the bar area, they wouldn't be long. Some further 5 mins later, one of them deemed to come to the reception desk to check me in During which time having waited for some 10 minutes, a long queue of guests( I counted 18 people) were in a line behind me also waiting to check in.. It would seem the hotel was inn adequately staffed at a peak checking in time on a Friday evening. It was simply not good !

Having booked this hotel a while before staying there we got a really good deal. Rooms were a good size and spotlessly clean - what more can I say. The hotel is close to the city and close to some other shops and local facilities in the area.
The breakfast didn't have the biggest choice of things, however, everything was warm and very tasty and the warm breakfast rolls were a really treat. So nice.

Well worth the money.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 343 which was very nice.

This is overall a good property. The staff was friendly and helpful upon check in...everything else was standard but up to par. The breakfast was good considering it is included in the already low rate. Lots of breads, canned "hot" beans, sausages, muffins, terrible juice...etc. Overall was a very pleasant stay and the bed was the most comfortable of all the Holiday Inns we stayed at during this trip.
