“Great place for a walk”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

The Docks area is a permanently changing place. The walk around the docks is I guess about 1½ miles, but there are restaurants/pubs almost at every few yards and water taxi's to shorten the walk if you want. No smelly docks!!! Of course you may find that the Old cranes may be under steam and demonstrating how they worked when this was a working docks. The `M' shed museum is not in my opinion that good, but hey it cost a fortune!!! Maybe one to miss, but there are loads of other attractions!

“Bristol-so much to see!”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

The Ladies Club I travelled with were all amazed at how big Bristol is! Many of us caught the Tourist bus which gave us an excellent commentary and told us many things we didn't know about Bristol, including historical information, lovely views and even a tempting glimpse of the Ardman Studios and the City Docks held some surprises with a market and many places to eat/drink. We all realised that our 5 hour trip wasn't going to be enough to see all that this city offered. It is such an interesting place and is well worth another visit!

All around the Floating Harbour is bustling with activity: lots to see and do, plenty of choice of pubs and restaurants.

“Harbour ferry”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

I needed to get across Bristol from Templemeads to Southville in the middle of the harbour festival. Taxi fares would have been huge due to the crowds and closed streets - so for £2.30 I took the ferry. Brilliant. It took less time than the bus, it was a lovely sunny afternoon, it was all in all a very civilised way to get about. We need to make better use of our city waterways!

“A good way to lose a day”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

We wandered down here meaning to spend a couple of hours and ended up losing the whole day.
Great little market that seemed to sell nothing but quality - no tat on offer. Craft stuff from the local area really good.
Plenty cafes and bars to wander in and out of as the mood takes.
Really really clean as well.
