“Luxury Stay”

For a special treat we chose this amazing hotel which oozes history and charm and the location is ideal for Bristol harbour side. The loft room we stayed in with bathroom on balcony and a room to die for was more than we expected, just everything you need for a relaxing stay.

The restaurant is just second to none, the service, atmosphere and food was five star and the breakfast was out of this world. The staff on all levels are so helpful and made the stay extra special. Highly recommend.

Very lovely courtyard and the bar area - and excellent wine selection. Bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. Atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant.

Restaurant was really overrated. The food was alright but much too overpriced. I had also booked in for a special offer, but was not allowed to use it because there was apparently no record of it.

I definitely recommend going there for the bar, but maybe skip the food bit.

really lovely place; service is good. Food was not as great as perhaps it promises and lots of restaurants in Bristol are much better. It's not really fine dining-ish enough! Bar is fab and cocktails are delish but you do pay for them! Lovely atmosphere for a catch up or a glam girly night out.

Stayed here for my wife's 40th. Went for a fairly lavish suite that was probably slightly overpriced but none the less very roomy and modern. Unfortunately we didn't eat in the restaurant as we had a table booked elsewhere. The bar was extremely busy earlier in the evening with a buzzing atmosphere but much more chilled later on.

I would recommend this hotel but beware it is quite pricey for what you get compared to some other boutique establishments around Bristol.

All in all though a great place with great staff.

Went for a meal in the Bistro post theatre last saturday evening and over all was impressed by the place.
A nice relaxing bar for a drink before hand and the restuarant itself is well spaced and set out.

if anything the staff are too attentive. There are occasions where you don't want to be asked if everything is alright or have your glass topped up every thirty seconds but as the place filled up that became less of an issue.
The food is superb, really very good indeed and of the the three courses both me and my girlfriend had there were no complaints.

Couple of minor negatives though, given the cost of a main course veg should not be an additional cost really. It's handy to order a dish which has a potato side of some sort so you don't also have to pay for this. £3.50 per side dish, not on.

The other is the service charge which is completely unwarranted.
As such, no tip. And I would have tipped more than the service charge but if you think I will tip on top of you trying to make me pay extra to be served you must think I'm a mug. I hope they pay the wating staff well given they must get fewer tips for their efforts.

We took advantage of a discount deal just before Xmas and only for one night. We often stay in Bristol and this was our first time in a Du Vin hotel. Have to say we were impressed with the friendly staff and comfortable well apointed rooms and I particualrly like the roll top bath!

The only let down was the lack of biscuits with tea making facilities....but thats only a small issue. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was very good.

All in all a genuine comfortable hotel in a central location for shops and leisure activities and we will go again

My husband took me here as a surprise for my birthday, as soon as you pull up you see it has the 'wow' factor. The courtyards pretty, the bar and bistro are elegant and welcoming, the food was delicious, and there was an extensive drinks menu. The rooms were a good size but cosy, and the bathrooms were huge with a lovely roll top bath. The staff were very helpful. This hotel would probably been out of my price range but they had a brilliant deal on-spend £75 on a meal/drinks in the bistro and get the room for £10! Amazing! We got 3 courses and drinks for that. The hotel is right in town near nelson st with all the graffiti on, and only about 10 minutes from the shopping centre. If you're looking for an extra special stay, book here!
