We stayed one night for my husband's birthday. The Reception staff were very pleasant and showed us to our room. We were upgraded to the Dom Perignon Suite which was very nice and asked if we needed any extra lighting, it was a little dark but we were fine. The bed was really comfortable although I won't be buying a bed with a shelf all the way round for my home it made no difference to our stay and the posts that have been mentioned were easily avoided. The shower was fantastic the whole ambiance was very nice. I did take earplugs as this is a city centre hotel and all hotels have fire doors which means banging during the night so I slept really well.
We really enjoyed our meal the service and the atmosphere in the restaurant were very good. Breakfast was great too, good choice between cooked breakfast and the buffet.
The Sugar House is a beautiful old building with an interesting history and we will certainly be going back to the Hotel du Vin in BristolMore
