“Despite being a cemetery, beautiful place for a walk and cup of tea”
Reviewed June 22, 2012

Arnos Vale Cemetery is huge and you can spend a lovely couple of hours strolling around the paths, checking out some very interesting statues and gravestones. There is also a nice cafe on site now serving light bites, tea and cakes. Sounds a bit odd having a sunday afternoon walk in a cemetery but it is quiet, relaxing and pretty!

“Peace and beauty - in a surprising venue”
Reviewed June 18, 2012

There is so much going on here, but it's so large you can easily lose yourself in the tranquil woodlands. Wonderful wilderness in the middle of a city, and fascinating local history - every stone really does tell a story. And a great little gift shop (very good prices and excellent selection of cards!). The cafe serves fab cakes and really good coffee. Nothing macabre about this cemetery at all. If you live in Bristol, check out the events programme too. Who'd have thought?!

“Great Restoration”
Reviewed June 16, 2012

From history tours to wildlife adventures this cemetery has it all. It is well maintained and the restoration that has taken place over the past few years is unbelieveable.

“How do you review a graveyard?”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

It's one of the most interesting/informative/beautiful/calm places in Bristol to visit.
