stayed here one night after seeing the Spice Girls at Ashton Gate stadium (they were so good btw✌) and our room was really cosy, bed really comfy, nice hot chocolate in the room and good shower! I’m really not sure why there’s so many bad reviews on here, the receptionist was really friendly and welcoming and even printed us a map for the walk to the stadium which was only about a 25 minute walk, and the breakfast in the morning was delish especially the hash browns and scrambled egg

Booked overnight accomodation to attend a gig at Ashton Gate. Location not ideal. Complicated and costly taxi ride in hideous traffic, both ways. Room was large and seemingly well appointed. No hot water. Flush didnt work. sink emptied into shower tray. No heating and room breezy and cold. Bed comfy - thank goodness! Were allocated a room in second villa (232) which was on ground floor/street level. Outer door left open all night which was both cold and probably not secure being made of rattley glass. A beeping alarm could be heard at several times during the night outside the room, loud enough to prevent sleep. This was inside the building. Breakfast was only served between 7 and 9am which seems a little early for non business travellers. No food or drinks were available after 9pm. Having on site parking was great albeit chargeable but the access to car park was tortuous made even worse by some inconsiderate parking. Raised concerns with reception in morning, no response given, no price reduction or recompense - poor customer care. No one available overnight to help - tried calling, no answer. So, if you can find better for less - do not stay here.

Room tip: dont accept 232 or close to it

We were allocated one of the attic rooms (226), the other is 225. These are not good rooms to get. The blub mentions there is no lift - but fails to point out that if allocated one of these rooms you have 3 flights of ever steeper and narrows stairs to navigate. Difficult with bags. Also the room had a velux window directly over the bed. The night we stayed there was win and rain and the rattling of the window vent and noise on the glass meant I could not get a good nights sleep. The room layout was odd and difficult too, had to stoop to enter the bathroom (anyone over 6 foot will too), and careful to avoid hitting my head on the slope near the bed.

Breakfast was reasonable although poached eggs were over-cooked - solid!

Good things, room was clean and well maintained, location is great for Clifton village. There is parking behind at £5/night.

Glad we only had one night in the room, however I suspect if you get one of the lower rooms (especially first floor) you experience would probably be a lot better than ours.

Booked a family room which compromised a double and single bed. Very comfortable with quality bedding. Nice bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast which was extremely good value. All staff were lovely and very helpful (especially the very obliging friendly receptionist). We arrived early and we able to check into our room straight away. Lovely location, quiet yet close to all that Clifton has to offer.

Location was great for our party venue.
Also great area of Clifton to see the georgian splendour, the Clifton suspension Bridge and village etch
W e liked the location also for the beautifully landscaped Square opposite and other park areas nearby.

Room tip: we were at the rear side to Queens Rd at first floor and it was quiet and with late and early sunshine. Nice room
