Owner description: We run the City's bright red open top buses which offer a quality sightseeing service of Bristol. All our commentary is provided by real guides (not a headphone in sight!) who are local and have a passion for their city. Their commentary is a mix of information, entertainment and humour. The attractions and main places of interest in Bristol cover a good-sized geographical area, and our buses offer an easy, convenient and affordable way to get about. The Hop On, Hop off ticket is a major advantage for those who wish to get off and explore the city.

“Bristol Open-Top = Amazing”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

We were expecting it to be quite good ... it was AMAZING! Jackie the guide fascinated us with tasty facts and history that were entirely new, even tho we have lived near Bristol for years. The children enjoyed it (we joined at the Downs for easy parking, so we had a break in the middle). I'm going back with my better camera next time, Thank you Jackie (and Keith? our driver). A&F

“City Sightseeing Bristol Tour”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

We have just visited Bristol for the first time and enjoyed our adventure a great deal. A must do is the bus tour, which left just outside our SACO apartment in the centre of town which provided first rate serviced accommodation. What really made the bus trip so entertaining was our guide, Pete Hayes, a real gem, a fountain of knowledge, providing interesting hidden curiosities, together with his entertaining, wealth of information and history of Bristol sites.

Do visit St. Nicolas market and savour the great home cooked food. The cafe has a 5star hygiene award and is great value. A view of the suspension bridge from the Avon George hotel cafe is fabulous, particularly with a cream tea. Bristol has a wealth of interesting Georgian and Victorian architecture, and shopping is highly recommended in Clifton, the Hampstead Garden Suburb of Bristol.

Many thanks for your lovely review. I have sent Pete a link to this so he can read for himself what you thought of his tour. We think he is great too!

Good heads up about St Nicholas Market - it is a real food-lovers gem!

We hope to see you again sometime.Oh, and don't forget to keep hold of your ticket - as you can get 10% off our tour (if you return) or off any other of the City Sightseeing franchise tours if you show your driver.

“Well worth every penny. Such good fun.”

This is a must on a trip to Bristol. It cost £20 for a family of four and is such good fun. The lads who drive and provide commentry are such good fun and so very freindly. They give you all the history and the route taken is perfect. You can get on and off and each stop and the next bus seems to come along at just the right time to pick you up.

“Sunday Morning Tour”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

Saw the Balloon Fiesta Saturday - Wanted to explore Bristol - With a ten year old walking was out of the question so a bus tour would fit the bill - We did the combined bus and boat tour - Little one went free so all good - Not a bad day - a bit windy but dry - Eric our tour guide was very friendly and informative - Full tour took about a hour and twenty - not too long - but enough time to see the varied aspects of Bristol and Clifton - We`d gone on Bus tours before with mixed results but this one was about right in length and things to see - Went on the whole tour - didn`t use the `hop on` hop off` feature - Great views of the suspension bridge and learnt some of the history of the area - Very tourist but a good way to spend part of a morning - The boat bit was ok - just took you up and down the river but we like boat trips so ok

The bus stops and places of interest were all interesting. Gave a good idea of what to go back and see in Bristol as well as information about the local area.
