Went with our two young boys on a day with both steam and diesel engines running. Overall the track is not very long so you end up spending as much time waiting in the carriages at the station as you spend moving. Lovely passionate staff and a nice experience. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.

A great trip out from Bitton station on the old Midland main line, from Bath to Bristol You get the chance to go on the train in both directions down and up the line. Very friendly staff and a great ride behind a steam train. Great views from the window and a chance to go over the river.

As someone who regularly cycles along the Bristol Bath Cycle Path ( which runs alongside the railway) I find myself being a regular visitor to the cafe.

Set in charming surroundings, it's a lovely place to visit. The food may be standard cafe grub (to be expected I guess as it is a cafe!) but the staff are good, the prices decent and the surroundings make this a a brilliant pit stop if you are on the cyle path.

will definately be stopping there again!!

A treat for our 3 year old grandson, and we took great granny! Four generations had a lovely day out. The volunteer staff were so friendly and helpful. The train ride itself is exciting and the carriages beautifully maintained. Our grandson got presented with a lump of coal by the driver and we got some great photos of him and his dad wearing the driver and mates's hats. We also enjoyed the cafe.
