Owner description: We The Curious was previously known as At-Bristol Science Centre; an educational charity with an aim to “make science accessible to all”, it opened in 2000, and welcomed over 5 million visitors in the past 17 years. At-Bristol relaunched as We The Curious in September 2017, with a new vision that is committed to creating a culture of curiosity. We The Curious is an idea and a place for everyone. Our venue on Bristol’s harbourside is a bit like an indoor festival, with all sorts of different experiences, where you can interact with exhibits, test stuff out and participate rather than just visit. We’re all about empowering everyone to ask questions and get creative - with boundaries removed between science, art, people and ideas - a culture of curiosity.

So much to do here and it was perfect for my 7 year old and his 10 year old friend. There is so much to do, you could easily spend a whole day there. My son loved it and was sad to leave when we had to go home!

We are currently on a weeks stay in Somerset and the typical British weather has arrived and we needed something to entertain us all on a rainy day. We found @bristol and were so pleased we did! It is easily located in harbour side area of Bristol that is being regenerated and is very modern with convenient underground parking by the "museum". it is a museum but not in the conventional sense. it's a day of hands on fun for all ages. We took four children aged 2-9 and there is something for everyone. Children can come and go as they please from each station and touch everything! children learn all the sciences through play, staff are on hand to help and answer questions and curiosities and clearly are experts in their fields and not just assistants. There is an interactive science show for 30 mins which was themed on the human body, presume this changes from time to time and was very educational and called for lots of childrens participation to pump blood, work the muscles and even examine a real pair of lungs and a heart! There is also a planetarium show every hour for 5+. It is a fantastic place for children and adults of all ages to learn, have fun and hopefully spark a passion for learning.
It's is fairly expensive at £12.50 per adult and £8 for children over 3. But I think it's worth it to invest in inspiring children to learn and get away from video games and the tv!

Cool exhibitions, aquarium and Imax. Loads for kids and adults to enjoy and explore. Easy stroll to the harbour for some great restaurants.

I absolutely love @Bristol, even my baby seems enthralled in lots of the experiments and features that are designed for older children. There is something for everyone here and is spacious enough to bring a buggy along without it being awkward. The cafe is good value and has a good range of food on offer. Membership is definitely good value.
