“Quiet family run hotel.”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

We stayed here 25 October 2012 for one night as we came to Bristol to watch a show. It is a quiet family run hotel. The rooms are basic, no fridge or telephone, but has Digital TV. They offer a full English breakfast inclusive with the room price. A bit pricey for the basic rooms but clean and comfortable. Extras included electric kettle with tea , coffee and biscuits. Would recommend and stay again. Overall would grade as a good hotel.

We prebooked and told them we would arrive mid afternoon; when we arrived the door was locked and had to knock, not bad but unexpected for an hotel. Then given the key to the room and there were no lights on (it was dark along the corridors) but when we found the room it was perfectly satisfactory. Good little Flat screen TV; tea and coffee facilities with biscuits, comfortable bed and good pillows. The hotel could do with putting some info on the desk/table so you could get an overall idea as to how far (not far) it was to the city centre. We had a rest then went by bus down to the centre. All buses go down to the centre but on our return we found that there were only a few that went passed the Arno so should have found this out before - our fault. Anyway good breakfast the next morning - really good choice of everything really and they would do your eggs as you wanted too! The kitchen was superbly clean (had to go to return the key so got a good look at it. Really spotless and fresh new units really good.
All in all a good hotel for overnighters wanting to visit Bristol centre - though we did think we should have stayed for two nights as there is so much to see and do in Bristol!

Room Tip: although the hotel is on the A4 we were in front and there was little noise so any room would be OK.

The nicest people! Great hosts They were very helpful, welcoming, and kind. Made my first stay in the UK easy. Yummy breakfast! I very much enjoyed my stay. The room was small, but it was just me, and it was all I needed. Peaceful and cozy. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room and use back entrance for those who have health issues that prevent using...

I couldnt believe you could fit a bathroom into a 4x6 ft space until I stayed here. You will struggle to use it though as it has a shower a toilet and a sink in it.
This hotel is for the white van man really. The smell of fat in the morning as they cook their breakfasts is disgusting.
The rooms are tiny.
But if that's your thing

Was put up here for 3 nights by company. Room (double) was spacious although carpet could do with a clean. Bed and linen was very clean and room made up every day. Excellent breakfast! Owner very helpful in finding places to eat. Would be happy to stay again.
