The hotel is right in the middle of town and, as would be expected, is pretty much the same as any other Premier Inn which is not such a bad thing - as they seem to have the business model more or less right.
The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly and the check in and out process quick and easy.
Two personal 'gripes' were that the pillows were not comfortable for me so sleep not as good as 'guaranteed' . Also, being on the 9th floor the windows were firmly shut and it was not even possible to open them slightly - so no chance of any fresh air which is a down-side in my opinion.
However, all in all, a decent hotel to stay.

Room Tip: Our room on the 9th floor did not have a great view but was very quiet pretty much for all of our st...

Hi Virtanne,

Thank you for your feedback on your stay with us.

When you stay again please ask for more of the pillows and see if this helps your sleep.

Thank you again.

Typical Premier Inn in that:
- room clean and presentable
- staff friendly at welcome
- reasonable price for facilities and location
- minimal tea / coffee provided in room
- meals at Beefeater next door

Upsides: This one is very convenient for Bristol City Centre areas and offers discount in local NCP car park.

Downsides: only bar is in Beefeater so shuts quite early (closed by our 11pm return from concert) and aircon was a bit noisy. Very noisy family next door woke us up at 4.30am but that was bad luck rather than hotel.

Room Tip: Upper rooms quieter as hotel is on a main road / major roundabout on edge of city but lifts currentl...

Stayed for 2 nights in November.

Room was clean and modern. Only gripe is the small TV.

Had a good nights sleep, no noise from outside.

The food in the Beefeater was good as always.

I have booked to return over the New Years. Excellent value for money.

This is how it should be done, very good sized room, scrupulously clean, everything works, very nice layout, quiet, hot water in under 2 seconds, staff very friendly. The mattress was a bit firm but apart from that I was very pleased.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 115.

We stayed here for four nights recently. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful, but check in was chaotic because they were trying to help guests with the self service check-in machines at the same time as answering queries. The room was excellent. Spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfasts were a disaster as there were major problems with replenishment of items, which resulted in numerous trips to the buffet area each day and a lack of choice..The Costa coffee machine was out of order, so we were faced with flasks of luke warm water. The biggest problem was however with the lifts on the Monday morning. We were already aware that one of the three lifts was not in use because of refurbishment, but one of the others had been commandeered by the workmen to move lift floor panels etc. and another team of workmen had pulled up the stair carpet and had the stairs completely closed off. We therefore had a very long wait to get down to reception as there was no other choice but to wait for the remaining lift, which was servicing 17 floors! We have stayed at many Premier Inns and they would normally be our first choice, but this one and the Beefeater next door appear to have serious organizational issues that need resolving.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the ground floor until the lift and stair refurbishment is complete.

Thank you for your comments on your stay with us.

We do try our best to get maintenance work done with little distruption to our guest
I was sorry to read due to the work being done you had a delay with getting in the lift.

I have also pass your comments about breakfast to the General Manager in the Bristol Fashion Beefeater.

Once again I am very sorry.

You can't park at reception so if you have a lot of heavy baggage you'll have to haul it from the nearest car park you can find.
Hard to find nearby parking.
No smoker facilities, stand in wind and rain on the street with some dubious security.
Buffet breakfast looks too bad to eat. Coffee awful. Cannot even partially open windows so claustraphobic.
Staff helpful and friendly.
I'd never stay at this hotel again.

The rooms are pretty much what you expect from the guys at Premier Inn however my bed was awful. There were hardly any staff anywhere at all and the breakfast was about as bad as I've had.

It hasn't put me off Premier Inn but I'll not stay there again.
