We were visiting our son and daughter who both now live in Bristol, and we went out for a family meal at the Thali Cafe in Clifton.
Not being keen on Indian meals I was somewhat apprehensive at having my mouth assaulted by fiery currys with repercussion for my stomach.
I need not have worried as the friendly waitress guided me through the menu asto what was nice and mild for me. The meal was really good and came on a large metal dish separated into several compartments each containing something different. Other members of the family were more adventurous than me on the hot and spicey scale, and we all agreed that the food was good quality and tasty.
The cafe has 3 levels and there is background music to accompany the meal.By the time we left at 8.30pm all the tables were taken.(on a Monday night).
My only complaint was the hard wooded chair. They could do with some upholstered chairs.
I would recommend this restaurant for a good night out.
