Owner description: Designed and built in 1836 by a young engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, this 702-foot-long, 250-foot-high suspension bridge gracefully spans the Avon Gorge between Clifton and Leigh Woods.

We crossed this in the snow one time and it was like one of those fairy tales. A fantastic feat of engineering. Stand a look up and marvel at the workmanship. Stand on it at nighttime and let your eyes be filled with the wonder of the cityscape and landscape that stretches out before you

Brunel was a genius and his skill is amazing. Pity he didn't live to see it completed. The views from the bridge are inspiring. Love it.... All you people who admire engineering will love it too.

Has an interesting history, wasnt finished til after Brunel's death. There is a good if small information centre which shows a 10 minute video of the history but most of all the vidws are stunning.
