A warm welcome and excellent service - it is obvious that the staff are well trained in these matters. I appreciated the room upgrade to luxury, which gave me plenty of bed room and relaxation space. i don't often sleep well away from home but this bed was gorgeous and i certainly did sleep well. Good breakfast and handy parking in the NCP next door made for an enjoyable trip to Bristol. Looking forward to my next visit.

My husband and I retreat to the Bristol Hotel as often as we can, the location is great, the service and the staff are wonderful, the rooms comfortable, clean and mostly spacious. I'm also fortunate enough to go to the Hotel on shopping weekends with some female relatives, our ages range from 6 mths to 63 years old, the hotel is great for everyone.

Go you won't be disappointed, just stress that you don't want a small room, there are some.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Harbourside have good views.

Location:excellent right in town between Clifton & main city so eccentric. Parking next door free paid for by hotel. Rooms really nice and modern with good beds and linen. Restaurant overlooks the wharf so is nice. Breakfast had a pianist playing.

Room Tip: Superior rooms are same size just have robes etc

We stopped for one night and had to attend a function in the city which could have meant us missing our evening meal.
The staff went out of their way to ensure we could enjoy the meal and get to the function with plenty of time to spare.
We had one small problem on leaving but this was swiftly dealt with by the Manager.
We will definitely visit again when the weather improves!

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking Perot's Bridge.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend at this hotel as a post Christmas treat. Saturday night was on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, and Sunday night was on a bed and breakfast "Sweet Retreat Package" which included a bottle of sparkling wine and marshmallows with chocolate. When booking my husband had requested a particular room , and although not guaranteed this was indeed arranged much to our delight. The room was fabulous with views across the harbourside, spacious and very comfortable. From checking in to checking out we had a wonderful weekend; the staff are welcoming and extremely professional especially the receptionists and restaurant staff who were very attentive without being intrusive. The hotel atmosphere is very relaxing and the bar area and restaurant are very comfortable with excellent food, The evening dinner was superb, and the breakfast buffet outstanding. Other 4 * star hotels could learn a lot from The Bristol ! We are looking forward to returning,

We booked a single night stay on 26th feb 2012. On entering the hotel everything was very nice, check in was straight forward and the staff were polite. We went to our room (130) and discovered that not only was it rather small but outside the "courtyard" was the air conditioning unit that caused a soft humming in the background, which would have caused us to lose sleep during the night. I went down to reception and mentioned this issue where one of the staff members took me to several different rooms to assess the noise levels. We chose a different room an she went away to sort the keys out, on returning she informed us that the room was next to the gym and would cause even more disruption to which she told us that she had upgraded us to a delux room. A very nice gesture.

The room itself was well decorated and I can only fault that there was a small amount of dust of some of the fixtures and the walls seem to be a bit thin as you could hear other rooms conversations.
