“Not bad. It's a little short. We went round it twice in 2 hours. Perhaps needs a little TLC and some more exhibits?”

On a wet day in bristol it passed 2 hours for our 2 kids. They enjoyed it an the fish feeding was well presented.
But...for an adult it's a little brief. Could do with more fish, more information boards, some hands on stuff for the kids perhaps?

“A couple of hours visit - at a costly full day price”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

The Bristol Aquarium lives where Wildwalk and the Imax Cinema once did. The former provided an extensive display of real and virtual landscapes and the latter a wide selection of impressive Imax movies. Now as an aquarium there is only a modest amount to see - you just don't linger very long. Unfortunately the costs of maintaining the aquarium demand high entry costs and, for a family, they just don't represent good value for money when compared with other attractions. The Imax is still there but closed, so you don't even have that as a diversion for an hour or so. Our tickets (family of four) cost nearly £40 in late 2012 and the family response was just 'it's okay". That just about sums it up.

“Impressive”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

Initially I was thinking to something of small, not really demanding:

when I sow it I was speechless. A lot of species , well done habitats reconstruction, big tanks that doesn't live you thinking that the animals are suffering; very nice the turtles place and very very nice the seahorses tanks: kids loved it (not only kids)!

“Brilliant for young kids”

The toddler I went with loved this. It's not huge but there are some very awe-inspiring tanks, like the one you walk right through the middle of with fish swimming above your head.
