Hotel in a great location by waterfront. Some parking but Princes Street NCP close by as well. 15 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads.

Difficult to argue that the room was lacking in any serious way and had all you'd need: Reasonable sized room (spotlessly clean) Big Comfy bed (although Duvet could have been bigger); Modern Bathroom with good quality towels, flannels and toiletries (Not sure why some reviewers had a problem with the mixer taps - seemed OK to me); Safe; Fridge (with complimentary water); Iron / Ironing Board; Tea / Coffee facilities (no biscuits!): TV (not full Freeview so channels a little limited); Internet Connection / Desk).

Only complaints for me were: Lifts (have a mind of their own and wouldn't collect from 4th floor on the evening I was at the hotel); Lighting in room poor (as with so many hotels); The view (you don't want room 411 if you want a view - there isn't one) and a very noisy Fire Door.

Didn't eat at hotel.

Room Tip: Hign floor / waterfront side.

Any questions please email me louisemhulme@yahoo.co.uk.

My partner took me here for a late Valantines day weekend away and it is a really lovely hotel. A quick check in and my partner used the Valet service for £23 which was really good. We had a double non smoking room on the 10th floor and the room had floor to celing windows not for the faint hearted or those with a fear of hights!! But we had amazing views. A lovely big bed and a big room, with a really good size bathroom. Lots of storage space.

It is near all the main attractions in Bristol. Bristol catherdral is a 2 min walk, 20mins away from the SS Great Britian Ship, the riverfont is literally out of the door of the hotel near shops, bars and resturants.

There is a resturant in the hotel which was very popular with guests and we had a drink in the bar both nights we was there. Very friendly bar staff and waiter service.

When we stayed one of the lifts was not working so waiting for a lift was a pain but they opended up the service lift for guests to use.

The room was clean and tidy the only thing I would say is when we went out sight seeing for a day when we returned at nearly 5 they were still cleaning our room. When we was in our room looking at where to eat with out warning a staff member used the key to get into our room, they did not knock or say hello to check if there was anyone in the room. Bad customer service.

As I have said the hotel is in the heart of Bristol near shops, bars and resturant on the Saturday night we was there a small amount of shouting and load music could be heard due to the location of the hotel. This may put some people of staying there.

Room Tip: Ask for room 10th floor and above to get good views.

Stayed here on business, checkin easy, valet parking a little overused and under resouced. Rooms were good, comfy beds and free wifi. Breakfast a little disorganised and only 1 lift worked during stay so used stairs all the time. Lots of waste left by service lift which should have been cleared.

In this hotel I slept on the most comfortable bed I've ever had in the UK: The mattress was firm enough for support and had a soft pad on top for cushioning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bathroom was large and beautiful, with granite tiles and a mixer tap (ahhh! I do like having warm running water in the lavatory). Breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the coffee was good. However, I had phoned in advance to ask for an additional flat sheet under the duvet, but when I got to my room there was none and I had to call Housekeeping to come and add one. Also, the room temperature had been set to 23C, which is much too high for winter, especially in a city that prides itself for being green.

Here's what I would suggest to the hotel as changes in their facilities:

1. Replace the in-room kettle with a coffee maker — which are perfectly capable of making hot water for guests who want tea — so that guests who want coffee in the room don't have to settle for that horrible instant stuff.

2. Install a hook or two in the bathroom, for hanging pajamas and/or a toiletries bag.

3. Provide directions for operating the bath/shower (better yet, replace the fixture with one that is easier to figure out) so that guests don't have to spend ten minutes trying to determine how to switch from bath to shower or adjust the temperature without getting scalded.

4. Replace the lids of the hot-food breakfast containers with ones that have heat-proof handles, so that there is no risk of guests burning themselves while serving their scrambled eggs, etc. Those napkins are far from sufficient, and I had to be VERY careful.

The room was pleasant and clean - nice bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. We requested a room on a high floor and the view was great! The valet parking was well organised. There was a good choice at breakfast and the staff were efficient and friendly. We are going to be frequent visitors to Bristol and will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: High floor was quiet and had a great view.

We absolutely made the right decision choosing the Radisson Blu Bristol for our Valentines getaway. From the moment we arrived , the manager and his staff did everything they could to make us feel special and welcome.
We were given the most amazing room overlooking the harbour, for which we are VERY grateful. The hotel is in a wonderful position for the waterfront, theatre and shopping. There is an intimate bar and modern restaurant if you want to "stay in ", and the room service menu is extremely reasonably priced.
The bathroom was HUGE, and there was complimentary tea and coffee in the room
Thank you SO MUCH for a wonderful stay

Room Tip: On a high floor with river view
