We ate here as a party of 6 on a Saturday evening. The place was very busy and subsequently quite noisy. Not a problem for us, but could be off putting for a couple who want a more intimate atmosphere. Our table was booked online and was ready as soon as we arrived. We were seated and shown the specials board along with the Spring menu. There is a good choice of meat, fish and vegetarian meals. The food was delivered in a timely manner and was well presented and cooked to our specifications (pink lamb, well done calves liver etc.) Even though they were packed out, the staff seemed to be fully able to cope with any requests (like extra chips please!) very quickly.
I would happily eat here again.

Our table was booked for 8.15, the lovely waiter went very expertly through the specials menu with us and asked whether we would like bread and olives prior to making our choices. He then returned to say the bread was still in the oven and would be about 10 minutes and this is when things started to slide down hill! 2 out of our party of four ordered starters, and after some time they arrived, still no sign of the bread. After 1 hour and 20 minutes we asked where our main courses were and eventually these were served at 9.45! To be fair the meals were very tasty and nicely presented albeit not as hot as they could have been. The bread never did materialise! At the end of the meal we ordered some teas and coffee and the tea was undrinkable and smelt extremely unpleasant. The waiter that served us was a great guy and it such a shame that his hardwork is not shown across all areas.

Went to the Black Horse for midweek dinner. Haven't been for a long time but I remeber it as a thriving pub in lovely Woburn. It's now turned into a bistro/gastro pub for the MK set. I had a set menu and wife had A La Carte. The starter of Blackpudding and bacon salad was good but the main was very average. The staff a very good, young and enthusiastic. The food though is OK but very overpriced. There are better restaurants in Woburn so I would probably only return for a drink unless it returns to a proper pub again.

We went on Thursday to their new Spring menu tasting evening. They hold these events each season and I would definitely recommend going. They choose 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts from the new menu (obviously smaller portions) and you also get free-flowing wine, for £28 per head. It's a really sociable evening as you are seated on long tables with the other guests. The chef comes out to explain each dish, how it's cooked and where the ingredients are sourced from and you get the recipes too so you can try your hand at recreating them at home if you want to. My favourite dishes of the evening were the home-smoked duck breast starter and the sea bream with thai noodle broth. Both dishes tasted wonderfully fresh and I'll definitely be ordering these next time I visit. A great evening.

Although another Peach pub chain, it has to be said they are still different in their own way which I love. This place is a little more relaxed than the Swan in Salford and the food is great.

Service as always with Peach pubs is impeccable, nothing is forgotten, friendly and attentive.

Range of drinks is great and the wait time on food even though it was busy was not long at all.

A great place to go for a chilled out meal as a couple, friends or family.
