We had two nights (Thursday & Friday) whilst attending a wedding as guests here. We cannot praise the hotel enough. The staff & the owners Chris & Chris, are so friendly & attentive, they can not do enough for you. We had a toilet seat & flush problem in our en suite and within an hour of telling Chris it was repaired, some plumber he has got there! The setting of the hotel is perfect within lovely grounds & such a rural location, you will definitely get a good nights sleep because it is so quiet.
The wedding went off so smoothly and professionaly with all the staff doing a splendid job of decorating the rooms then turning them round to a dining room with just as beautiful decorations. The food definitely first class with the use of locally sourced ingredients was delicious & plentiful.
If you are planning a stay at this hotel you will not be disappointed with anything from the room, the public rooms, the gardens and the food.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good.

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch here, excellent menu choice, beautiful setting & lovely owners who provided a very friendly service. Definitely recommend, am looking forward to getting a group of friends together to try out the vintage tea experience that they do here

Calm and quiet, in beautiful surroundings and with some lovely country walks on the doorstep. The manager, Chris, just could not be more flexible, helpful and accommodating. Just perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

We had the hotel virtually to ourselves because apparently they get mostly business travellers, which means it's quietest at the weekend - win!

Chris the proprietor was very friendly . Nothing was too much, while my partner was up early for work .Chris even sugested breakfast in my room, as I wanted a lie in .As we had such a lovely time ,we ended up booking and staying another night . Well the four poster bed is so comfy :-) .Food in the restaurant was superb . Another visit is being planned .

I have just organised a charity evening at The Priory Hotel and the owner of the hotel, Chris Rowbotham, could not have been more helpful. She allowed us to take over the entire downstairs and sitting room area, and before we got there had completely cleared the place for us, making our set up so easy.

The Priory is a beautiful hotel, really friendly and clean, and a beautiful location, with lovely views over the Herefordshire country side. Parking was ample and well laid out.

I can imagine that if Chris was organising an event for you, it would run like absolute clockwork - I would certainly trust her with anything I was doing, and I can not recommend The Priory highly enough.

Thank you, Chris.

My girlfriend and I decided to book a few nights at The Priory to get away for a break during the summer holidays (We're both teachers) and we weren't disappointed. When we arrived at the hotel there was lots of room for parking and we got a good spot not far from the front door. We were checked in by a polite and friendly member of staff and shown to our rooms. What rooms! We were shown to Room 5 which was massive with a very comfortable bed and flat screen tv, the bathroom was very well finished and spotlessly clean too. The overall stay was fantastic with great food in the restaurant made with locally sourced ingredients where possible.

Pros:
- Very well finished rooms.
- Very quiet at night time (It's about a 15min drive from the city).
- A fantastic cooked breakfast which must be one of the best around.

Cons:
- Not great wifi. Pretty slow.
- Nothing within walking distance of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for Room 5, very spacious.

We held our wedding at the priory stretton sugwas on 03/03/2012, from the moment i meet Chris i knew we were in safe hands she helps the day flow from start to finish without being pushy or stressed.
The food was lovely and all our guests commented on how nice the meal was and the evening food was great. We hired the whole hotel so that family could stay overnight. All the rooms were very clean and each one different. The Priory is a beautiful period building with lovely wooden floors, lovely chandiliers , and big wide doors. there are lovely gardens for photos.
We will be returning for sunday lunches as we live only 3 miles away; they also have high teas with bone china and pretty cake stands so maybe i will drop a hint for mothers day!
Could not fault our day, highly recommended.

Room Tip: treat yourself to one of the bigger rooms all slightly different with original features
