Nothing but the best.Great food, very clean and comfortable room with large bed.VIP treatment in the Pavilion was well worth the little extra cost.Entertainment second to non and very appropriate for us.Stayed in signature room 149,right by the lift and close to the Pavilion.Went into Hereford by coach from the Hotel, what a good idea,no traffic or parking to worry about.Great Cathedral. We will be back and will also try the other Warner hotels

Enjoyed a mid-week break early in May. This the fifth Warner Leisure establishment that we have visited. They have all been good but this location marginally turned out to be the best to date. You know what to expect with these hotels and once again this was hotel was spot.on.
We stayed in a Signature Plus room (No. 101 but there was no sign of a big lever) and it was certainly up to standard. The bathroom was huge and well appointed. Food as usual was excellent and the grounds were definately special. The putting course provided us with plenty of entertainment and we even had a game of croquet. As recorded in another review on the entertainment front we only had Shades for two of the four evenings and as talented as Colin James is he could not compensate for the loss of a three piece live band and a singer. This is the only part of the holiday that I feel fell short of standards that we have expertienced elsewhere.
Would have been rated a five but for entertainment. Really 4.5 but you cannot show that.
Located out in the country so you need own transport as local bus service is pathetic.
Visitng Littlecote House in Septermber and we are looking forward to a another new location.

Just returned from our first Warners Break in over a year.
Stayed in a ground floor signature room with patio (room 111) , very good, large beds, and very comfortable.
Dined in the courtyard, service very good, but the standard of the meat was poor.
Daytime entertainment was poor, gone pre dinner music in the blue room, animals on Sunday, Ian the entertainments manager has moved on and Dave his replacement hasn't a clue.
The acts on Friday & Saturday were first class but there was no sign of Dave to introduce them or give some pre entertainment.
One last gripe the main acts start too late at 9:45pm, dinner is over for most by 8:00 so a 9:00pm start would be ideal.

Just got home from an excellent weekend (17th to 20th May,2013) at Warners Holme Lacy House Hotel in Herefordshire. This is my fourth visit to this Hotel and first time as a solo traveller. Having been to most other Warner Hotels, this one lives up to the usual standards of the Hotel chain. Food, accomodation, service and surroundings are excellent. I stayed in a single Historic Room in the main House and although it was on the small size, It was adequate for the solo travellers needs. Nice comfortable double bed and plenty of storeage space and a huge bathroom with lashings of hot water on demand. The room came with all the usual extras associated with Historic Rooms including an esspresso coffee machine as well as the usual kettle, tea and coffee. There was a flat screen tv, dvd player and digital radio. The room was kept clean to a high standard on a daily basis as was the rest of the Hotel. Dining was in one of two restaurants, the Bremner Scott or the less crowded Courtyard. The service was first class and the food was prepared and served either buffet style or waiter service and was very tasty. There was also fine dining available in the Orchard at a small supplement. Daily activities were varied and numerous and one could be as active or relaxed as the mood took you. The grounds were maintained beautifully with some unusual, but stunning topiary. The weather was very kind and that allowed for a very relaxing time with a daily paper and/or a good book. Snacks and refreshment were available all day and the bar service was very good. The price of drinks were on par with any good hotel with a good and varied choice of beers, wines and spirits. Entertainment was of the usual high standard with an Everley Brothers tribute duo on the Friday evening and the great 60's band, The Fourmost, on Saturday evening and every night was the in-house entertainment team and resident band, all of whom were very good. Such was my overall satisfaction of the Hotel, I have booked to return on the 12th July, 2013 for a weekend of tribute bands of the Drifters and the Platters. Because of the popularity of the entertainment, it can be difficult to find a seat in the Cabaret Lounge so I would strongly recommend paying a little extra and book a V.I.P. Table guaranteeing your seat with a good view and waiter service. The staff at the Hotel are excellent and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. They can usually satisfy most guests needs/requirements. Looking forward to my return there in a few weeks.

Visited on the 8th March with friends for a chill out weekend, we have been to many Warner hotels and this was our second time stopping in an Historic room the last being at Littlecote House, I mention this as we were very disappointed with check in parking and dining times, we had travelled for 4 hours and arrivied around 4pm and the parking allocated for Historic rooms was full, when we mentioned this to reception she shrugged and said oh and intimated it always happens. She then said whats your name and you'd better go to the dinning room to get your table allocation, the only time available was 8pm and they ask you to allow 2hours for the fine dining experience in the Orchard restaurant, so this means you miss part of the show and struggle to get a seat.
After a bad start it got better, we were in the Herefordshire Suite wow what beautiful rooms, we had a very large bedroom with a four poster bed & mini fridge with 2 bottles of water and a welcome gift of wine, chocolates & savoury snacks and a second room with a sofa, 2nd TV and coffee making facilities, the bathroom was also large, it was all clean and well decorated. There was also a free safe.
The food in the Orchard for breakfast & evening meal was excellent and the chef came to your table during the evening. So we could get into the show earlier one night we ate in the main buffet restaurant and luckily we had a table in an off shot area as it reminded me of a school dining very noisy, however, the food was good quality.
We booked the champagne afternoon tea which we had in the Blue room a lovely experience and our waitress was great and we were given a full bottle of Piper Heinsick :)
We walked around the grounds even though it was a damp day and the are well kept, would love to see them in summer.
We joined in a few activities, horse racing, quizzes, Bare minerals demo and a guided too of the house.
The resident entertainment team were very good, and the resident group with lead singer Clover were also good, the headlining act was Ricky Valance I had not heard of him before this visit and he was terrible, the keyboard player in the late lounge is very good they should have him as a main act he played and sung various songs of your choice.
It is a lovely grand house and I would love to return especially on a sunny day

We have just arrive back from a mid week break at this hotel. We have stayed at many of the warners establishments over the years and I must say we were impressed we found the hotel had loads of character. The ceilings in the old house are a work of art. The gardeners need to be commended for their work, the hedges and gardens are beautiful.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly, even the Australian chef took time out to welcome us.
"The terrace Bar" the snacks were very good but the service was a little slow. We dined in the Courtyard restaurant, the food was very nice with several choices. I have to stick to a gluten free diet and our waitress was very helpful informing me of my options, she also had my two slices of gluten free toast ready for me every morning.
The entertainments team put on two shows which were very good. The comedian "Bob Webb" was hilarious. There seem to be some cuts on the entertainment, the main band "Shades" were on Monday & Tuesday then on Wednesday & Thursday it was "Colin James" on the piano although he was very good, we felt the choice of entertainment was not quite up to Warners standard we have enjoyed at other resorts.
I have only two gripes the safe in the room was rather low, being disabled I had trouble getting down to it, also the seats in the Pavilion were rather uncomfortable. My wife had a little moan as she has always looked forward to a game of bingo before the entertainment in the evening.
I know we have had a couple of moans but it could not have been that bad as we booked again for next May.

Loved the historic room, the fine dining was excellent, the entertainement was good. Definitely our kind of hotel compliments all round to the staff and management. Grandious setting for those who want to relax, for us worth the extra coin for the sheer attention to detail. Definitely coming back.
