“A perfect family holiday venue”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

We stayed in one of the Gold chalets and my family of 5 (kids ages 13, 11, 10) loved it thoroughly!
Everything about the accommodation was beautiful. It was just as shown on the website. We felt that there was no one else in the resort, which wasn't true because we knew that there was a wedding happening and all their guests were staying at the same time.
We enjoyed golf, cycling, tennis, basketball, swimming in heated indoor pool, gym, archery, trampolines, walks around the lake as well as canoeing. All the equipments, we could hire from the reception for free. We didn't try out the restaurants for dinner but we enjoyed beautiful full buffet breakfast in the Cuisine every morning!!(Bonus for mum!) The fully equipped kitchen in our chalet and the gas BBQ on the deck were fabulous for dinner.
The bush walk along the Thredbo River was truly fantastic, the river looked so beautiful inviting, it was shame we didn't get to do any fishing-something for our next trip!! Also, there were lots of kangaroos on the property so you could watch them quite close, also saw a couple of slithery friends in the bush walks.
Overall, we were very happy with Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa and we look forward to coming back again soon.

Dear Roubaix 5

Thank you for letting us know about your recent family holiday to the Resort, we love getting feedback from our guests.

We are so glad you had such a great holiday with your family, you sounded like you made the most of all of the resort facilities which is great! The walking trails are certainly very beautiful and they are continuing to be developed all the way from Lake Crackenback up to Thredbo - so there will always be new trails for you and your family to explore!

We look forward to seeing you and your family here again shortly (maybe for some fishing this time?) and in the meantimwe invite you to join us on Facebook and/or Twitter to keep updated on some great sporting, fishing, wellness and dining events on a the resort year round.

Kind regards

Had a great time with the family - kids 10 and 8 year old twins. Highlights were the walks/ jogs along the Thredbo river and a day toboganning on a patch of snow close to Perisher: it was nice to be so close to be able to match activities with the weather. The room was spacious and well-equipped, with a stunning outlook across the lake. The indoor heated pool and sauna were great options for the days with horizontal hail and snow, as was reading by the fire! Daily early morning yoga sessions during school holidays - on weekends otherwise - were an unexpected bonus. Kids enjoyed the trampolines, archery and tennis. Meals at both on site restaurants were very good. We will be back!

Spent 2 nights at the resort on the adventure package and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We rode around on bikes, went on the mountain bike trail, went on a Segway tour, learnt how to fly fish and paddle boarded in the resort.

The chalet was well maintained and modern and the grounds was too! Breakfast was also quite good.

The only downer was the March flies! They are a real terror and the bites are PAINFUL! But that's not the resort's fault... But for your sanity I would suggest planning your visit outside of March fly season :)

You can do as much or as little as you want here - its geared up for the Activity junkie - only 10 mins from Thredbo - or you can just relax. The on site spa was great! Dinner and breakfast was hot and fresh and served with a smile! All meals from the Cafe were just oustanding!
The Activities - we did Segawy with the kids - just fantastic! This place is just magical, and allows you to escape to the snow capped mountains and enjoy the serenity.
We will be back! Thanks team!

Great for the kids and us aswell. Stayed in a bronze chalet for 3 nights had lots to do and right next to the ski tibe saves heaps of driving. We are definately coming back for more golf, archery and the grouse indoor heated swimming pool.

Room Tip: Chalet are the go when you have kids with you.

This is a fantastic location, we stayed for rest and relaxation and it was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was devine. The restaurant was very romantic with the lights dimmed and background music and the staff were wonderful. The pre-desert ice-cream "wow" best ice-cream ever! The room was very spacious, lovely and warm and great views. It was so nice walking into a pre-warmed room when it was cold outside. There is countless actives, I went to the day spa and had a very relaxing massage whilst my husband went mountain bike riding (win win for both of us). There is also numerous actives for the kids which wont with us this time but we will bring them next time. This really was a much need break which left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. A huge thank you for Lake Crackenback Resort for making our stay so special.

Hi Allison

We are so pleased you enjoyed your recent break with us here at the Resort with your husband.

You certainly made the most of your time with the activities and spa treamtents as well as the dinner and breakfasts at Cuisine - your compliments have been passed on to all department managers and staff who will appreciate receiving them as they are so passionate about the Resort and truly aim at delivering above expectations every time.

Our positioning statment is Relax.Rejuvenate.Activate and by the sound of your stay this was spot on! I notice you are local and wanted to just let you know of our new yoga programme starting tomorrow that will be on every Saturday and Sunday (and daily over school holiday periods). The yoga runs from 7.30am for an hour and suits all levels at a cost of $10 per session, we would love to see you there - your husband and kids can make the most of the resort trails while you so a yoga class...

Thanks again for your comments and we look foward to seeing you here again shortly with your children...

Kind regards
