Overall an excellent place to stay in Tizzano and I'd highly recommend it. The service was very friendly and the hotel is quite nice. All of the rooms have a patio or balcony facing the sea. The views are great, the rooms are nice, all was clean. We slept very well and there was very little noise. There is a small platform/ladder to jump in the water, though no beach right at the hotel. The little bar overlooking the water has cheap drinks and snacks with an amazing view. The restaurant at the hotel was also excellent, good service and good food. Cala di Tivella is worth the hike =)

First impressions on entering our room at this hotel were extremely positive, as we were amazed at the beautiful view through the french window which looked over the bay towards a distant exotic beach. The room itself was quite basic but perfectly adequate. It was clean, comfortable and had a fridge and bathroom and separate toilet.
Staff were pleasant and helpful when their advice was requested, but left us to our own devices otherwise.
We visited in April so their own restaurant wasn't open in the evenings, but a nearby restaurant was recommended to us. For breakfast we opted to pay 10 euros for the fuller buffet which included a range of meats, cheese, yogurt and fruit, as well as bread, croissants and a choice of drink.
The weather was changeable during our visit, and it was rather wild at times which gave us a fantastic view of the rough sea from our room but made it difficult to keep the breakfast room comfortable.
Like other villages we visited in Corsica, Tizzano was reached by a long minor road which had to be retraced in order to visit other towns and villages in the area. However we stayed for three nights and it was ideal for lovely walks along the rugged coastline where the spring flowers were beautiful and for visiting the megaliths at Palaggiu and Stantari. It was very quiet and calm in April.

Room tip: Our room on the middle floor had an excellent sea view

Nice large rooms right on the water. Great water views. Small beach but close to other very nice swimming beaches. Breakfast very adequate. Hotel Restaurant okay..easy walk if nothing else. Very few restaurants in the area. Sartene about 30 minutes away.

We just stayed 3 nights at hotel du golfe. Loved the place.

Pros:
- away from everything
- all rooms have view on the sea
- breakfast buffet (juice, yogurt, pastries, bread, local fresh fruit, cereals)
- owners care a lot (even provided a free large water bottle before our hike!)
- free kayaks (only 2 though)
- free wifi
- quiet room and comfortable beds
- small and personal
- close to Tizzano beach (a bit of a walk though)

Cons:
- 20 min from near town - Sartene (which can be a Plus if you want to get away from it all)
- limited restaurant choices (although the few there are good - except for restaurant du golfe next door that had poor customer service and put ice cubes in rosé wine). Sartene is a 20 min windy drive!
