Waldhotel Bad Sulzburg is set at the end of a forest road about 5 kilometres from the village of Salzburg, about half an hour south of Freiberg. It was an ideal hotel for the car club rally we were attending with participants coming from all over Europe.
I am told the older rooms are a bit small but we were in the newer wing nearest to the Spa and it was beautifully spacious with a good shower room (no bath), plenty of storage space and a balcony.
The décor is traditional with a beautiful wood panelled dining room a winter garden and very nice function room.
The food was delicious as was the local wine. Breakfast was outstanding.
Above all the manager and his wife and all the staff were kind, friendly and always helpful. Just the kind of customer service I would expect from any hotel. I don't always get that but I certainly did there.More
