A well maintained & tastefully decorated B&B run by the warmest hosts in entire Wales. Stayed only a night here along with my parents & family, but it was enough for the owners to leave a lasting impression. Highly recommend.

Regards,
Praveen

We booked a room here as we were attending a wedding at Maesmor Hall nearby. Our room was a lovely large room with a beautiful & comfortable bed and lovely views of the countryside. There were three of us so we had an extra foldaway bed which my friend said was perfectly comfortable. The room had a large ensuite bathroom with a roll-top bath which I sadly didnt have time to try out! The house was spotless, the sheets were fantastically fresh & clean, and we were even supplied with some homemade fruit cake with our tea & coffee making facilities. The breakfast is brilliant with the option of cereals, juices and full english breakfast. The cherry on the cake was the wonderful hospitality from Malcolm and Sheila, we felt very welcome and Malcolm even gave us a lift to the wedding and collected us at the end of the evening which saved us from what I feared was going to be a very long wait for a taxi. I could not recommend this place any higher and if I was ever back in the area I would definitely be returning.

We chose this B&B because of the reviews and we were not disappointed. It is a wonderful place to stay. I e-mailed Malcolm when I booked and mentioned that I wanted to walk up to Penarth Slate Mine in Corwen. He went out of his way to research the mine and sent me details with several web sites relating to it. After meeting him, I realized how typical this was of him. Both Malcolm and Sheila are extremely welcoming and friendly, without being intrusive. They do everything possibe to make your stay enjoyable.
The house is absolutely spotless, including the bedding and carpets. You will not find a cleaner B&B anywhere. It's such a treat to be able to walk barefoot around the house because of it's cleanliness. The bedroom, bathroom and food have all been mentioned in earlier reviews so I'll just reiterate that they are all true.
I would like to mention that this house is in a perfect spot to tour North Wales. Whatever the weather, there are lots of places to go. It is close to Betws-y Coed and gateway to Snowdonia, then a few miles to the west is Bala and all it has to offer and not forgetting Arenig Fawr (even if you can't walk far, a walk to Arenig Fawr lake is a treat). Then, Llangollen is only 13 miles away and there is always plenty to see there, not forgetting Froncysyllte Aquaduct which is now a World Heritage Site. We will be back and we won't be staying anywhere else from now on.

Absolutely worth every one of its 4 stars!!! from the fantastic full english breakfast (including cereals and fruit) to the whiter than white towels and bath robes. The house its self is spotlessly clean from top to bottom and has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard with roll top bath and four poster bed in our room, Our teenage son stayed in the twin room which was a large room and very cosy. Both had tea and coffee (hot chocolate) making facilities with fresh milk in a small fridge. Malcolm and Sheila were very helpful hosts providing information about the local area and printing out maps for us! they even set the table in the dining room when we came back with a taka way. We stayed for 2 nights and will defiantly be back soon. Jeannie, Steve and Aaron

We stay away from home a lot due to work and always try to stay in small hotels or B & B's.

We can honestly rate this B & B as the best we have ever stayed in. The location is stunning with lovely views accross a picturesque valley, the room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with a very pretty bathroom with crisp white towells.

The owners were incredibly welcoming but not intrusive, nothing was too much trouble, including giving us a lift to our chums wedding down the road, they even picked us up later on that evening.

The breakfast was the best we've ever had, and we will certainly be going back to explore the area, this is everything you could ever expect from a B & B, enjoy!

We stayed here for one night while attending a friends wedding down the road at Plas Isaf. The accommodation was lovely and spotlessly clean. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate facilities in the room (fresh milk left in a small fridge) on the landing outside of the room. For breakfast we had a selection of fruit juices, cereal, full english, toast and homemade jam.
Nothing was to much trouble, instead of us having to try and get a taxi to the Plas Isaf the owners offered to take us there and even picked us up at 1am.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay, you won't go wrong booking at Heulfre.
