“What a wonderfully natural place to visit”
Reviewed June 17, 2014

The seashore is beautiful. Ling stretches of beaches with adequate visitor parking and tram ride access for those needing a lift. Towns are all joined by a single highway, so traffic can be slow in season. Great restaurants in each town. Casual and environmentally friendly. Pack your swimsuit, flip-flops and a sweatshirt for chilly nights. Oh, and take a deep breathe of the sea breeze!

“Natural Beauty”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

My wife and I brought our 3 kids (from elementary through early high school age) for a day journey through various spots on the National Seashore in June. I loved the untainted beauty of the beaches. To me it's so much better than the commercialism that surrounds most beach areas in the U.S.. We saw seals, lighthouses and wonderful blue waters. Here's several suggestions:

1) It seems that there is a regular rotation (daily or weekly?) of beaches along the seashore where they offer free admission - otherwise the entrance fee is $15 per vehicle to enter certain designated beach areas. Go to the Salt Pond Visitors Center at the beginning/entrance of the National Seashore to check with the park rangers about this. They're the ones who alerted us to the free beach offering (again, I'm not sure if it was just that particular day or if there's a regular rotation of free beaches). Nevertheless, we took advantage of the free beach "special" and saved some money in the process!

2) The Nauset Lighthouse along the Seashore is the lighthouse featured on every Cape Cod potato chip bag. I think it's worth stopping by to say that you've seen this "iconic" location.

3) You can actually take a mini-tour and walk up the stairs of the Highland Lighthouse for a modest fee. From what I understand, it's the only lighthouse that allows this type of experience along the National Seashore.

“Just a beautiful area”

A must to experience if you go to Cape Cod. It is a beautiful area and drive. Wish we had time for the bike ride. A great experience.

“Got to go”
Reviewed June 13, 2014 via mobile

How disappointed we would have been if we hadn't taken the time to go see this. The lighthouse on Nauset Beach was just as I pictured. The wind was blowing so hard we could barely hear each other speak and it was very cool ( for June) but we loved our visit.

“Enjoyed 3 days of hiking”
Reviewed June 8, 2014

Hiked every trail I could find from Eastham all the way to Race Point. None of them too difficult. Great views of beaches, ponds and bogs. More wildlife than I expected, which was great. Lots of trails short enough and easy enough for kids and lots of educational opportunities. Highly recommended.
