Its got to be said the roast beef and yorkshire pudding at the Trooper is superb. Staff were very friendly and efficient, lovely environment with roaring fires just the tonic for a miserable Sunday.

There were eight of us in a mixed age group and there was something for everyone on the menu.
The background music was enjoyable but not so loud that we couldn't have a really good chat! The food was really good and great value. Will certainly go again and we have already recommended The Troopers to lots of like-minded friends.

Was a bit concerned about some of the reviews but needn't of worried as all our meals were perfect. On request the chef made a couple of starters that weren't even on the menu. The other starters were all good from the pate to the soup, no complaints. The steaks were cooked just right, the lamb was delicious as was the calfs liver. The desserts were ok but not too good a choice ( in my opinion ). The place is modern with comfortable chairs with high backs and the service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant wasn't very busy so it had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
If I really had to complain about anything it would be not enough veg with the lamb and not enough toast with the pate.

We used to dine every Sunday at The Plough and Harrow in Aldridge... but since that has taken a massive dip over the last twelve months we ventured out... and thanks god we did.

The Roasts at The Trooper are served pretty much all day long and always deliver! Value for money is good and the deserts and starters are changed quite regularly.

Best Roads in The Midlands!
