We stayed here with our 2 dogs the lodge itself was better than our expectations for a dog friendly lodge it was spotlessly clean and a welcoming cake went down a treat. The hot tub was immaculate and most enjoyable
There are dog friendly pubs just a short walk away and it is a short walk which are all good.
We will defiantly be booking back up as the new lodges also look fantastic
The actual dates of our stay were in 2014! But the online system only allows for 2016 as our earliest date.
Neil & Jennie had just take pin over the ownership of Artlegarth Lodges and as there has been vastly improved facilities in every area they have made a huge impact on the holiday experience.
They were helpful and warm, provided local info and gave us their personal phone numbers without question if we needed them at al, during our weeks stay.
There was a need for hot tub cleaning before we arrived and they ensured they revisited later on our day of arrival to check out that it was working well.
The village pub is exquisite! It doubles up as a local shop (just ask behind the bar!) and they are an award winning cuisine.
Ravenstonedale is 1mile walk away from Artlegarth and HowGill fell a lovely walk if you turn left out of the main entrance of the lodges.
Kirby Stephen is a short drive away with coffee shops and a supermarket n post office.
Stayed in the summer for parents 40th wedding anniversary, Fantasic experience and location. Perfect for family gathering and quality time together. Each lodge was spacious and every amenity cared for.
You could be together or have your own privacy when needed, The owners are fantastic and help to cater for all needs including recommending a local company to provide a fantastic bbq for us.
Adults children and dogs all had a fab time.
Plenty to do and discover in surrounding area.
Use of car is essential to seeing the sites, near and far from Caves to waterfalls, llama trekking and lake Windermere plenty to do for everyone.
Totally love Artlegarth lodges. We’ve had a few stays and always had a wonderful welcome. A true haven of tranquility, perfect surroundings in a luxury cabin. Everything you need to unwind and kick back. We love the walks thru the day and hot tub and barbecue at night. The local pubs are great too. Wouldn’t hesitant to return and regularly recommend.
Our first visit after being recommended by a friend, fantastic stay for my husbands birthday, everything was amazing, the hot tub put the icing on the cake, and we did have cake too. We were greeted by the owner to see if we had everything we needed, cant wait to return and enjoy another relaxing stay in the beautiful lodges there. The scenery and the walk to the local pub was so enjoyable, food at the pub was brilliant.
Had a fantastic holiday amazing scenery and wildlife great central location cabin was lovely loads a little extras which really lovely
We wanted somewhere that was unspoilt, away from busy 'tourist' spots and that took dogs. The Curlew lodge fitted the bill perfectly. A beautiful cake and flowers greeted us on arrival and the hamper we ordered was waiting full of locally sourced ingredients.
The kitchen had everything you could possibly need for catering down to cling film and washing up liquid and the lounge was large and comfortable.
However the highlight of the whole stay was the hot tub. We used it every day - towels provided - it was wonderful.
