“This cottage is a must!”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

This wonderful cottage is a great place to stay in. It is decorated very tastefully and is absolutely beautiful. Dee the owner is warm, approachable and by the time I left I felt I had known her forever. Nothing is too much for her. The food is 5 star and lots of variety. I would highly recommend it and have pre-booked my next stay there already. If you want a piece of heaven book a room here, you will always have wonderful memories of your stay.

Chrissie - Hemel Hempstead

Room Tip: Both of the rooms are equally great.

We stayed at 'Freedom Cottage' for three nights and were very warmly welcomed by the owner who made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and we were spoilt with a superb selection of breakfasts. The location is beautiful, set within fields and next to a gorgeous old church. We would love to go back and stay again when the antiques fair is on at the bath and west show grounds again! I have stayed at ‘Freedom Cottage’ several times while working in the area and it has to be said the hospitality and rooms are second to none. The guest lounge should you wish to ‘Chill Out’ is lovely, furnished with a piano should you fancy a tinkle on the ivorys, plus a TV and video player with a selection of films if the mood so takes you. There are a good selection of books that you are able to borrow for the duration of your stay. A full English breakfast or continental has always been on the menu with a good selection of both.
Always made to feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The French room although a little more expensive (Family room) would be my preference. Has bath and...

We got a marvellous welcome - with tea and cakes on the terrace, which has a wonderful views of the splendid village church. Service throughout our stay was excellent. Our ensuite room was large, and extremely comfortable with all the facilities you need. Breakfasts are really good with lots of choice, and you can eat this on the terrace too, if you wish.
This place is in really picturesque village, -with a pub, - but is close to the Bath and West Showground and lots of other attractions. There are several good places to eat nearby.
Throughout our stay we made to feel very welcome and it was a really good place to go back to at the end of busy day.
Access is down several steps and so you do need to be reasonably agile.

Room Tip: They are all good.
