“Fantastic spot, fabulous food!”
Reviewed April 15, 2012 via mobile

We stopped here enroute to the ferry, and it was the highlight of the day we spent in Victoria. We arrived around 4pm, and we're warmly greeted. We we're seated on the decking outside which has beautiful views over the bay. The staff were attentive, the food was delicious, plentiful and not expensive. The food was quick, and well presented. The kids were well taken care of, and ate all their food.

After dinner, there were plenty of opportunities for strolls around the bay, and great views in the sunshine.

If we are ever back in Victoria, this will definitely be on our list to visit.

“Was there in 2001 and the chef cooked the mussels in beer. YUKKY”
Reviewed January 9, 2012

Why do chefs try and reinvent the wheel. Need to get back a sense of taste, not necessarily adventure.

“Perfect spot for a summer meal!”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

This small waterfront bistro has it all! On a really hot summer's day we sat outside on the deck under an umbrella with a gentle breeze blowing and had a great lunch. Literally on the water front and with incredible views. There is inside seating too with big windows. Unique menu - kind of New Orleans with lots of choices, fresh food and the prices are very reasonable (as are their drinks). Would make a great place to go for a romantic dinner too. It's very popular so make reservations. (you can make them online). A fun and relaxing way to spend an hour or two.

“You HAVE got to eat here”
Reviewed August 8, 2011

If you're staying in the area you have got to try this quirky, unassuming little restaurant. It looks like a pontoon jutting into the beautiful bay and make sure to book a table outside on the deck as the views are breath-taking. Also make sure to be very hungry as the portions are generous and you will want to have every course as the menu is such fun. You rarely find a themed place to eat where the food really comes up to scratch (the food here is cajun with an innovative twist), but this does it. They have excellent ribs, but try the chicken with pecans wrapped in filo or the alligator sausages. The cheesecake was the real McCoy too. The service was charming and the ambience romantic and laid back. Shame we waited until our last night in the area to try it as we would definitely have gone back. It's very popular with tourists and locals alike so might be best to book.

“Strongly recommend this charming boutique restaurant by the water with a cajun feel!”
Reviewed May 14, 2011

After coming here a year & a half ago with clients and now living in Victoria full time from Vancouver. I would DEFINITELY recommend this boutique cozy cajun-feel restaurant to visitors & locals alike. The food was so delicious and the 'half' portions are filling and well deserving of their price value. The waiter seemed so down to earth and attentive. The REAL rating of this hidden gem should be a 5 STARS out of 5! end of story.....
