Our first visit to the Bleue Coyote was great. New owner was very friendly, and we thought we had a new spot for breakfast. We returned for a second visit to find they were using new Red Barn Market products, and were very excited as that is one of our favorite grocery spots. The menu prices were higher, but we did not mind paying more for quality. We ordered from the new menu, and were terribly disappointed. We were served VERY overcooked eggs, and although the waitress happily said they would be replaced, our plates were returned with very undercooked eggs, and the cold toast and hashbrowns from our previous plates. One of our party of four ended up not eating as they didn't want to wait, and one ate COLD food and nearly raw eggs. We thought we would give it one more try and returned, this time to have a piece of coloured wrapped toothpick in the middle of a sandwich, didn't feel nice in the mouth, and we were offered no compensation. $40 for two breakfasts, one of which contained a toothpick? No thanks, we will stick with the Prairie Inn!

Food was good and plenty of it - a bit noisy with all the sports tv screens going but good value for money

Decent food, good specials and lots of TVs. Can be crowded on the weekend and hard to get a seat.

This quaint neighbourhood pub has had its ups and downs with menu & quality over the years. I must say that their newer menu is a sure fire hit!

We went on a Monday evening - hockey on the big screen but were able to get a reservation for 4. The Coyote had a good crowd, not hugely noisy, and we were seated quickly by the waitress. There was a 2/1 Canucks appy special so we ordered calamari & pork bites. This arrived in a good time along with our beverages. The dinner special was panco battered halibut & chips. My hubby asked about the size of the halibut and the waitress suggested he get the 2-piece while I ordered the 1 piece. Our dinner companions ordered the Steak & Mushroom Pie and the Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding.

We were all very pleased with our dinner choices. The pieces of halibut were very generous - to the point where we brought one home for the next night! The batter was a very nice change from the usual oil soaked fish you sometimes get when ordering fish & chips. Our companions thoroughly enjoyed their choices which looked very good.

For dessert there was a mango-apple crumble that my husband enjoyed while I had delightful chocolate cookie - ice cream combination. Mine was very good as was the report on the crumble.

The atmosphere was comfortable considering there was a hockey game on the big screen - which we enjoyed. The service was very good although our companions had to ask a couple of times for coffee refills. The menu offered a nice variety of dishes including a wonderful list of various type of poutine. Open for brunch on the weekend, lunch & dinner 7 days/week, you should stop in for even an appy & beverage. They do offer a take-out menu as well. They have a variety of beers on tap & full bar menu. There are daily menu & drink specials.

We are happy to see this little neighbourhood pub with an improved menu & service. We will certainly return.
