Spent about 2 hours in this beautiful garden. Completely worth going but be aware that it is about a 30 minute ride outside of the city.

This is a must see no matter what season it is. We went on a rainy day in September and the garden was worth the trek. Beautiful arrangements, lush, and vibrant!

Beautiful gardens that are amazing to see during the Spring and Summer months. Would be a stunning place to have a wedding.

We managed to visit the gardens in November and even at this time of year, there are still so many things to see. The preparations for the Christmas season are well underway. Flowers are still blooming and there are so many shrubs still performing so well. The gift shop is a delight with gifts for everyone.

Beautiful, colorful gardens to stroll through and admire as well as wonderful places for coffee and dining and a large wonderfully merchandised gift shop. All of the staff were very welcoming. Butchart Gardens is definitely worth the trip!!

I took all my seniors frim a retirement community to butchart for christmas time. Some of the atractions were thinga from the far past. Made my residents feel their youth again. My 99 year old rode the carousel. Best day of her life. The smile that were on all their faces made everything worth while. The gardens were lit up and there was the theme of the 12 days of christmas. Just lovwly. I suggest to go at christmas time as its just spectacular

Butchart Gardens is such a beautiful, tranquil place to visit. Of the five different garden sections, we especially loved the Japanese garden. The maple trees were changing colors and were such vivid shades of red and orange. It was stunning! We made online reservations for high tea in the dining room. It’s a set menu and we particularly enjoyed the scones w/ cream and strawberry jam as well as the “traditional warm delicacies” - all three delicacies were delicious (the menus can be looked up online)! The gift shop is very large - a great selection of souvenirs.

Beautiful flowers and fall colors and so much to see. Every season would have something new to offer. Lovely to stroll around and could spend days wandering and finding new treasures everywhere you look.

Butchart Gardens is a perennial family favourite with its inspiring gardens, water features and historic tea house to explore. I have gone with my family during the different seasons and there is always something to inspire us. My kids love the magical carrousel and in the winter we look forward to finding all of the displays of the Twelve Days of Christmas and skating on the outdoor ice rink. If you have time for more than one visit, I recommend buying an annual pass. The annual pass costs the same as going twice, so it’s a great value, if you plan to go more than a couple of times!
We can spend all day here. There is food on site, but it’s on the expensive side. I recommend bringing at least some snacks, but you can pack a picnic and enjoy it on the lawn by the bandshell or the picnic tables by the parking lot.
Also, wear comfortable shoes and clothes; plan on walking a lot. There are strollers and wheelchairs on site, if needed.
