Interesting rock colorations. Easy walk around the canyon. Great picture location. Watch for hummingbird nesting. Definitely a nice place to visit, especially if you are not into hiking.

Beautiful red rocks by a stream. This can attract alot of people at one time and parking can overflow a bit.

Red Rock Canyon is in an incredibly scenic area, and the drive up is amazing. The multi-layered and multi-colored rocks in the small canyon are very pretty. Everyone enjoyed walking to the bottom of the canyon and wading in the creek, which was quite low when we were there. The short paved trail around the canyon is great for people who want to get out in the woods but not take a long hike. Blakiston water falls is only a short walk from the canyon parking area, and it is worth the short (<1 mile) hike.

This is one of the must sees of Waterton Lakes Park.
When travelling on Canda Highway 5 from the main gates Red Rock Canyon Parkway will be on your right the sign will read "Creek Pass" it is 8.9 miles from this spot to the canyon. If you are travelling from Waterton toward the park gates it will be on the left the sign will read "Red Rock" Creek Pass"
The drive to the canyon is breathtaking you will see rolling hills, that gradually lead to the Mountains. There are hills, trees, forest and montains along the way. There is even a turn out with a cut out of a bear waring you not to approach or feed them a neat photo op if you wish.
The parkway deadends into the parking lot at the canyon.
It is an easy walk over the bridge, or you can take the trail head to the actual canyon,
The loop is .07 of a mile the climb is a gentle climb of about 80 feet. The red rocks of the canyon will take your breath away. The red is so vibriant it is almost alive.
There are squirrls and chipmuncks to keep you entertained as you walk along the path. The Dipper birds are fun to watch as they flit and fly along the rocks and creek.
At the bridge there are steps you can take to actually go down into the canyon and walk along the rocks.
There are other trails you can explore while you are there as well.
Well worth the time and effort to see this beautiful place.
