The Prince of Wales Hotel is decorated in dark wood. The six story lobby has floor to ceiling windows that look out on a lake flowing along the base of a mountain range. It is absolutely breathtaking. The building itself is built of dark wood and decorated like an alpine lodge. It sits atop a hilltop in the Waterton Lake National Park (the Canadian half of Glacier National Park) and commands a stunning vista. The food was very good, but the service was slow. The waiters were wearing kilts; the ladies tartan ties.
