My husband and I went here after a lovely day in Waterton, and this turned out to be the worst part of our day. The service to begin with was decent, until the waiter realized we were not ordering drinks from the bar (though mind you, we did not have a small bill in the end). After realizing this, we watched as our waiter chatted up every table but ours, and our drinks sat empty on our table. When he did come by, he barely said three words to us before he was gone. The food was not nearly as disappointing, and the view was beautiful, but the service was appalling. Will not eat here again for quite some time (if ever).

Some friends and I were recently staying in Waterton for a week and ate a late lunch at the Bayshore twice after very long day hikes. Each time, we were seated on the lovely patio by the lake and even had the same table and waiter.
The Thai wrap and side salad was outstanding and beautifully plated, and the Chilean Viognier cold and delicious. The burgers were always cooked perfectly and had nice hot fries on the side. Sterling, our adorable waiter, was always courteous, and the view of the lake makes lunch something really special.
We also had high tea at the Bayshore and at Prince of Wales......and Bayshore was better in every category. In addition, we weren't forced to listen to very bad chamber music at the Bayshore while we sipped our tea! The "Prince" forces this awful music on its patrons and doesn't even have the ability to open the large picture windows to the outdoors....such a shame!
Other friends had dinner at the Bayshore twice while we were in Waterton and said the steaks and fish were cooked to perfection. I am guessing that every meal would be a delicious experience at this lovely establishment.

The house salad is a work of art that tastes even better than it looks. Lemon Dijon Vinagrette has no sugar. Highly recommend this place and the views are amazing as well. This place needs another adjective besides amazing... Fantastic!

We went for dinner one evening and the meals were pretty decent. We went back for breakfast another day and were quite disappointed. I tried the buffet which was pretty dismal and my wife ordered eggs benedict. When they brought the eggs Benny the eggs were rock hard. She sent it back and when they did it a second time the eggs were under cooked with watery whites running all over the place. We didn't feel like waiting around all morning while the cooks tried to learn how to poach an egg. I would recommend going elsewhere for breakfast.

We stayed at the Glacier Suites in Waterton for four night, and had two dinners and two breakfasts at the Lakeside Chophouse. We were overall very pleased. The breakfasts were excellent with lots of variety. One of our dinners was just fabulous - we had ordered the salmon. At our second dinner we ordered steaks which we had to send back because they were overdone - they said the meat thermometer wasn't working. But all in all it was enjoyable, good food, beautiful setting. I would definitely go back.
