How can this be? The best food we have eaten on our summer holiday trip is at this tiny roadside attraction beside The Daystar Market on Galiano Island. You'll never even see it if you don't stop. But if you do, you'll smell the tantalizing aromas of Asia wafting over the little parking lot among the towering fir and cedars. Orion, the chef, is the magician who crafted a beautifully balanced beef stew, with potato and summer squash fritatta, accompanied by a lip-smacking (and tongue tingling) tomato sauce. Sitting in the open air, my wife and I had to hold ourselves back from inhaling the wonderful food. She had a tofu pad thai that rivaled anything she had eaten in Thailand. This is one addition to Galiano that should not be missed.
