I've been here before last year on a couple of occasions when on staying the area and loved it then. This year I feel no different. It's a dog friendly pub, great atmosphere, basically lit by candles and the log burner if needed. Minimalism with warmth, like sheepskin throws, the fire, the warmth. Just a lovely atmosphere if the place is full or empty, dark and moody in a good way (I've never been in the day light), outside plenty of places to sit under cover and lit with string bulb lighting. The food is 'american' style with a few veggie choices and always very good. I honestly can't find fault with the place and could happily spend my one weekend a month off in this pub.
