We had a three generation holiday the second week of the easter holidays. We stayed in lodge 4 which is 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and shower room. I couldn't fault the accommodation it was fantastic lots of lounge space. We actually managed to get 9 round the table as my sister and her family were staying in lodge 6. Towels were supplied for us which we were expecting. The kitchen area was well equipped and a really nice touch was the sachets of tea, coffee, sugar and milk when we arrived. There is a really nice large green area in front of the lodges which the children were able to play on. My boys enjoyed the swimming pool. We would definately return.

Room Tip: I would recommend Lodge 4.

Stayed here for 3 nights over the Early May Bank Holiday, we were a group of 6 adults and 6 children and we were pitched in the field with electric hook up. Fantastic location and loved the fact the campsite left a large space between tents, we were also left enough room in the field for cricket and football, though not sure if they would fill this in the height of the season.
Amenities were shower block and toilets, on site shop, indoor swimming pool (of which you had to book a slot), park and rally room (tv and comfortable seating)
The only real negativitiy is the lack of hot water I only managed a warm shower on one occasion, I also thought the cleanliness of the showers could have been more kept on top of though once they were clean they looked fine.
I think the shop maybe could open a little earlier maybe 8 - 8.30 am. Reception staff were all very friendly and helpful.
I would defiantly stay again and recommend.

Stayed here for 4 nights over the May Day Bank Holiday, Its a great location to discover Ashbourne and the surrounding area, and its right on the Tissington trail. We had a steady walk to Ashbourne and it took us and 1 Hour and 20 Mins down the trail. We were pitched in the large field at the back of the site. Our first night was the Thursday and there was only us in the field, so no need to wait for the pot wash or the showers plus plenty of piping hot water. On the Friday we got a few more campers in our field and the site was approx 1/3 full. This resulted in only being able to have a luke warm shower and cool water for the pot wash. For the size of the site it needs more amenity blocks and the only one they have is very dated. The site was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. I would seriously consider going elsewhere if it was going to be full over a hot BH weekend.

Stayed in a lodge for 3 nights in March. Lovely modern and comfortable. Well equiped kitchen. Plenty of seating in lounge and dining area. Stayed with freinds, two double bedrooms and separate bathrooms ideal. Both very comfortable, the larger double bedroom superb. We had great weather, and being able to sit in sun on veranda and eat meals outside brilliant. The site is ideally situated for direct access onto the Tissington trail for walking, cycling etc. No need to use the car! Fantastic tea shop in Tissington. Dovedale with its stunning river and hill walks is just up the road.

Room Tip: Two good sized double bedrooms in this lodge

We stayed in lodge number 5 for a 4 night break away and we were not disappointed. The lodge is well equipped, modern and roomy. Our children loved the swimming pool and the park onsite. The staff were very helpful and friendly providing us with information on places to visit, weather forecasts etc.
We would love to return again not only because the accommodation was superb but also is a great base for exploring the area.

Have just returned from spending the Easter B/Holiday at Ashbourne Heights. What a lovely camp site this is. Check in was fast & there was someone on hand to tell you where you were pitched, so no complications on arrival.
We had a campervan with awening & found there was plenty of room on pitch 25 Greenacres.
We found all the facilities were very clean, loved the Rally room & indoor heated pool !!! The shop was very well stocked with everything you could think of, & the staff are super friendly, welcoming & very helpful. Pets & children are very welcome.
The tissington trail is right on your doorstep at this site & was a fabulous walk into Ashbourne from the trail (turn right At the bottom of the steps, by bridge).
Ashbourne, Dovedale all close by, there is also a bus route but we decided to walk it has it was a lovely evening
Hardly worth mentioning but there was a powercut for about 45mins....not a problem the management team were on to it straight away & this did not detract in anyway from our stay.
I would highly recomend this site & will definatly be returning in the very near future

Room Tip: Having a campervan, I would choose a grass pitch at this site.

As a family of two adults and four children under, we were perfectly happy with this location as a mini break.
Nice little indoor pool, great local walks and a huge area for our large tent.
We were conveniently placed near to the toilets/showers by the observant staff - as we have young children.
A very friendly and pleasant stay - right on the Tissington trail and just a five minute drive from Ashbourne town centre.

The only thing i will say is that if you camp in April, wrap up warm as its quite high up!

We would happily go again.
