Natalie is a great hostess, she picked us up in Epernay and then collected a Belgian couple from the hotel. She speaks great English but we wanted to practice our French (we are fluent but rusty) and she spoke clearly and explained any technical terms we didn't understand. She was very friendly and gave clear explanations of the wine making process and what it's like to be a small champagne producer in the region, including the full cycle of the process from planting the vines, to pruning in winter, caring from them as they grow- tying into place and then harvest. This is only the first part however so after visiting her vines in the field you go back to the house where they press the grapes, ferment them in vats, bottle them en-famille and then the riddling to the expulsion of the sediment and finally drinking! We ran over time as we had so many questions but Natalie was a great host and then dropped us back in Epernay at the end. Highly recommended.

On a day trip from Paris, we reserved an afternoon tour. Along with two other couples, we were picked up at the tourist center by Nathalie, who spoke English during the tour. She drove us through the vineyards. She stopped the mini van on a couple occasions, and we were able to walk along the vineyards as she provided a very good description of the care and harvesting of the grapes. We then went to their champagne house, where she gave very detailed tour and explanation of how they produced and bottled the champagne. Afterwards, we were given a couple glasses to sample. The champagne is very good and reasonably priced. The tour last about 3 hours. Nathalie is very entertaining and time goes by quickly. We have been on a few champagne tours and this is the best! A must do if you are in Epernay.

If you only do one thing in Epernay, do this tour. Nathalie takes you out into the countryside surrounding Epernay and shows you where the grapes are grown. She gives a comprehensive explanation of a year in the life of the vines and the producers. Then Nathalie drives you to her home where she and her family make champagne and you get to taste two of her champagnes, both excellent. You can buy from her but there is certainly no hard sell. The wines sell themselves, and we bought some to bring home. She can also ship overseas, which I am sure I will take advantage of.

The Domi Moreau tour was excellent, and well worth the money. Natalie - accompanied by her adorable dogs Tina and Shippy(?) - takes you through the vineyards, shows you the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier vines and shows you how the vines the differ. She also shows you all of different tasks required to managed the vines and harvest the grapes. After that, she takes to their cellar and explains the rest of the process - from pressing the grapes through labeling the bottles. Then comes the best part - tasting the champagnes. I loved their Blanc de Blanc - it is an excellent value.
This is a great tour to experience after doing a tour of one of the big champagne houses. We visited Möet & Chandon the day before. Both types of tours are worthwhile. The contrast is fascinating.

This tour, run by Nathalie Domi, was really really good. We did it as a couple with 3 other Australian ladies. Nathalie did the whole tour in English with a great sense of humour and a great knowledge of champagne production from first hand experience.
The tour in the minibus is fun and enlightening at the same time. It is good to see how a family champagne producer operates. The tasting at the end was especially good. Highly recommended.
