The hosts were awesome! They greeted us, gave us restaurant recommendations, booked our zipline tour (highly recommend doing that!), and had delicious homemade lemon cake and juice waiting for us on arrival.
The place was very cozy and comfortable. They had clearly thought about a lot of the amenities that are nice to have, like a hair dryer (the only one in any of the hotels we stayed in). It was more like staying at a friend's house than a hotel. I highly recommend this property!!
The only issue was finding the place. We drove around for close to an hour, asking various people on the street. The GPS was useless and the directions from Google were confusing. Be sure to ask the hosts for directions after you book, it will save you a lot of headaches.
My husband and I stayed at Sarita's Casitas II last month for a week. Sarah, the owner, was very helpful arranging for tours and making sure we had everything we needed. Once we got oriented we were able to walk to many fun activities like the Butterfly Garden, an Eco Reserve and also find good restaurants. However, the Casita does have a nice little kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals. It was away from the noisy part of town, and there was wildlife right in the vicinity.
