“Hospitality, the best Italian food and wine in the heart of Italy.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2010

Italy is always an interesting place to visit, beautiful views are combined with ancient historical places, and its food is one of its main attractions.
In the area of Campania, near Naples, where fruit trees, olives and vineyards dominate the landscape, we discovered a place that disserves at least, you spend two nights. “Terre del Principe" is a farm located in Castel Campagnano that produces its own wine, with a variety of grapes specially adapted to that area, protected from the east winds by the mountains and influenced by the Mediterranean climate. Panagrello bianco and Panagrello nero, two ancient varieties that had been forgotten and only kept by local families, have been re discovered by Giusseppe ; they give life to exclusive wines well recognized world wide.
Manuela Piancastelli, journalist and writer, has joined Giusseppe in this project, they have available two beautiful apartments to receive tourists, giving you the possibility to appreciate the life in Campania and taste the exquisite food she cooks, served with their exquisite wines. What is more important they make you feel at home.
Breakfast under the vine trees served with the home made jelly and marmalades Manuela prepares, give you energy to continue your trip.

Nearby, in the city of Caserta you can visit “La Reggia”, a splendorous Palace, similar to Versailles, the Bourbons constructed as a residence during their domination of this region.
We will never forget this place, specially the friendship and hospitality received by Giusseppe and Manuela. We recommend very much this spot for those whom appreciate and like to experience the local flavor of the places they visit.

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2010

My family and I, including two fiance's, spent an entire day with Manualla and Peppe. We were treated like a Royal Family. We toured the vineyard and winery. We ate many courses of food many originating from old family recipes. I would return tomorrow if I could.

“Fantastic wine, delectable food and gracious hosts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2010

We enjoyed a lovely evening with a tour of the vineyard and their wine making operation followed by a seven course meal. The meal was prepared by owner Manuela -- each course was more amazing than the previous! And every wine and wine pairing couldn't have been more perfect. Our entire group (from 5 countries!) all discuseed how we could make it back to Terre del Principe for a personal visit.

Since returning to NYC, I have enjoyed their wine in one NYC restaurant and intend to continue!

“Amazing! Impressionante! Divino!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2009

I've had the chance of meeting lovely Manuela and Terre del Principe's wines at Italy's largest wine fair - Vinitaly 2009 - and then I've had the "extra bonus" of being able to actually visit Terre del Principe 15 days ago. What a place, what a story, what a love of them (Peppe and Manuela) for the land for the vines, what a strengh to share allagrello Bianco, Pallagrello Nero and Casavecchia grape varieties with us! Excelent place and outstanding food. To be re-re-re-visited! Bacci Paula (Campinas, Brazil)

“Amazing wine tasting and day in Caserta!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2009

I was just looking at the reviews and reminising about our trip to Naples last year and I came across one of our favorite experiences here. We also took one of Ciao Laura's wine tours to Terre del Principe and it was wonderful! We can't speak Italian but there was an interpreter there and we learned about their wines, toured the vineyards, prepared our lunch with hand-made products from their farm, and we also got a chance to bottle our very own wine - it was so cool!

Highly recommend this wine and winery. It was also one our highlights of the trip!
