“Good buggy space”

Main selling point is there is loads of room for buggies etc.

Feels quite dark

Eclectic mix of tables and chairs

Being given a buzzer to tell me when my order is ready when there isn’t a queue and I’m happy to wait is annoying.

Front windows do open which is good in warm weather.

When asked they had the ingredients for all the cakes (one of our group has Coeliac disease)

Great place for mummy meets, lots of buggy space even in the disabled/baby change loo. Nice big open windows on a hot day. Lots of comfy sofas and chairs. Loyalty card means buy 6 drinks and get 7th free which is pretty good. Yummy cakes and hot chocolate, sometimes you even get a bear picture in your milk froth!

This is a break away from the chains of other coffee shops. Midweek you will find yourself sitting alongside new mums and buggies, ladies who do coffee and the odd business person. The staff are friendly and happy to advise you about the food and coffee - a welcome change from other coffee chains.

I went in late in the afternoon having peered through the darkened windows out of curiosity. There were only a couple of other customers so I did not experience the crowding that others have mentioned. I was made to feel very welcome by the friendly chatty staff, and a good pot of tea was promptly delivered along with instructions on using the 'egg-timer' device to control the strength of the brew.

My bubble was burst a little on finding out that it's owned by Tesco, as I was hoping that I'd found an independent, but I look forward to going back, maybe for a snack, thanks to the pleasant ambience engendered by the staff.

No loud music, definitely a bonus, but I'd have preferred to have listened to just music rather than local radio.
