Just returned from a stay at this property and was very pleased with the experience. There is so much space on the estate that everyone in our party (three couples and one teenager) had room to spread out. The concierge and proprietress, Antonietta, kept up with everyone's activity expectations (no small feat), and the maid, Carmelo, was extremely sweet and efficient. Amalfi is a 15 min walk downhill from the property, and there is beach access 5 min away down some 300 or so stairs. I recommend using Amalfi Coast Driver services, Biagio, for taxi. If you are up for a hike, Antonietta provided some topographical maps that we linked together for a hike via the path of the Gods from Amalfi to Positano. Other not-to-be-missed sights include Ravello and Positano, Capri, Paestum, Pompeii and Herculaneum. A fabulous vacation!

We stayed at Villa Santa Croce, at the start of spring, and it was a heavenly experience. We were four couples and two teenagers. The layout of the villa was great, because the teenagers each had their own room and en suite bathroom, on the opposite side of the main house. Peace and quiet! Our room overlooked the Mediterranean, I loved sitting on the balcony and watch the sun over the water.

Anna Maria, organized for us to get a taxi from Naples airport to Amalfi. Once in Amalfi we could pick up a rental car, but opted for the busses, much more convenient for parking. And more relaxing of a drive. Carmela, had a wonderful lunch waiting for us, on the terrace. That was so thoughtful.

Our rooms and en suite bathrooms were gorgeous. Our bathroom even had a spa bath. The villa has a large pool, with a bathroom and shower house at the pool. My personal favorite, was the hot tub, I would sit there and just stare at the ocean. Sipping some wine.

Of course we explored all the sites, but my favorite activity was eating the local food. We had a choice, Carmela could do a buffet for us (breakfast, lunch and dinner), we could grill outside. Or her husband Luigi would do pizzas for us in the pizza oven, on the lower terrace. We also ate in the town of Amalfi, and Ravello. But I must say just hanging around the pool, relaxing and eating wonderful food, without even leaving the property, was wonderful.

Our hosts treated us like family, and no task was too much. Couple that with this wonderful villa and gorgeous Amalfi coast, who would not want to go? We will be back!!

Room Tip: The large room, upstairs, has a fabulous view and spa tub.
