“A lovely place to stay”
Reviewed June 5, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Four of us ranging in age from 19 to 73 enjoyed our stay in Ardglass, especially since the accommodation was lovely with everything we needed. Fresh flowers, fruit and complete breakfast supplies were provided. A beautiful room with a double bed and adjoining bathroom occupy the top floor. The middle floor has the kitchen, dining and living areas with a small outdoor balcony. Having all this on a separate floor means early risers can have breakfast without disturbing those above or below. On the lower floor there are 2 bedrooms and bath. The furniture (in particular the beds) was comfortable, and the place was very quiet, conducive to sleeping in. But we didn’t as there was so much to do in the area. Good restaurants and pubs were within walking distance. We thank the Grahams for providing such a special home away from home.

“Modern, Spotless, Tasteful Decor & Very Hospitable Hosts - Hard to Fault, Get It Booked!”

Hi,

Having looked for any self catering accommodation who offered a simple 1 night option the Harbour Loft showed some common sense and were prepared to take such a short booking, many others should learn from this!

From time of reservation the owner kept in touch via email with the relevant forms and was happy to meet us at an appointed time to hand over the keys and was only too happy to help.

Upon arrival you will find one of the best finished, modern, clean & well appointed self catering choices anywhere. Everything from ‘Sky+’ Sat TV which you can pause & record, balcony overlooking the Harbour, free parking at the back door, modern appliances & superb neutral decor simply enhance this accommodation with ample hospitality of the owner thrown in.

Free WiFi delivered 20+ Mbps....very good!

Never before have i stayed in self catering where the fridge was stocked with a bottle of wine, eggs, butter, wheaten bread, potato bread, milk, bacon & fresh orange juice! A very nice touch that they don't advertise or even mention when you arrive.

All the small sundries such as cooking oil, salt, bin liners etc are also supplied, no running to the local shop (less than 2 minute walk) to buy 1 Ltr of oil only to leave it when departing.

The whole place is spotless which comfy beds (i presume, one in our case), fluffy towels & hand soap provided. The 3 bedrooms are all spacious with the main bathroom on the ground floor & the ‘loft’ bedroom sporting an en suite.

Well located at the small harbour and within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Ideal whether you're intending to visit as a couple or indeed a whole family, highly recommended!

We had a beautiful meal locally, which was also excellent, please check my reviews.

“Well positioned and appointed, perfect for our family group”

The layout of the house was perfect for our group, with us (grandparents) safely up on the second floor with en-suite (shower), living accommodation on the first, and parents with young child in the ground floor, where there are two bedrooms and a bathroom with large bath. We all appreciated the views out over the harbour to the sea beyond. The house is well equipped, especially after the owners had stocked the fridge for us on arrival - much appreciated. Our first breakfast with their bacon, eggs and Irish potato bread set us up for a great week. We were very comfortable and well positioned in Ardglass to view the beauty of the Strangford area, but also close enough to the Belfast area, to see important Ulster sites, such as the Titanic exhibition.

“Great welcome, lovely house and lots to explore.”
Reviewed April 11, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

1 Harbour Loft overlooks a quiet but interesting little quay occupied by half a dozen crab/prawn boats and visited during our stay by a couple of grey seals. We were warmly welcomed onsite by the Graham family who had also left an amazing welcome pack which included an Easter egg! The house, fairly recently-built and on three storeys, was spotless, comfortably furnished and fully equipped; a huge ensuite master bedroom on top and two compact doubles with shared bathroom at ground level. No mobile phone reception, but a fast wifi, free landline and Skysports more than made up. Ross booked a time for me at Ardglass Golf Club and his presence at the pro's shop was enough to reduce the green fee; it is a superb course snaking along the rugged coast with views to the Mournes which were still covered in snow during Easter Week. Great dining at Aldo's and the golf club in town and at Curran's a couple of miles along the coast; also great Guinness at £2.90 a pint in the interesting Commercial Inn. This is a great house from which to explore County Down and beyond, made warm and memorable by our hosts. Many thanks.

“1 Harbour Loft, Ardglass, Northern Ireland”
Reviewed October 1, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

This townhouse overlooks a working harbour in Ardglass, County Down. We have rented many times in many places but have never stayed in such excellent accommodation. The property is in excellent condition and very tastefully decorated. It is on 3 levels with a balcony on the main living area. It has everything you need for your stay and more! We were also given a welcome package that exceeded any we've had before (which has been rare), as a result of which we hardly needed to do any shopping other than fresh produce, we even had fresh flowers. The owners welcomed us on arrival and were friendly, helpful and gracious. I would highly recommend this accommodation and we hope to stay there again in the future. Ardglass also has one of Ireland's best golf courses.
