1 Harbour Loft overlooks a quiet but interesting little quay occupied by half a dozen crab/prawn boats and visited during our stay by a couple of grey seals. We were warmly welcomed onsite by the Graham family who had also left an amazing welcome pack which included an Easter egg! The house, fairly recently-built and on three storeys, was spotless, comfortably furnished and fully equipped; a huge ensuite master bedroom on top and two compact doubles with shared bathroom at ground level. No mobile phone reception, but a fast wifi, free landline and Skysports more than made up. Ross booked a time for me at Ardglass Golf Club and his presence at the pro's shop was enough to reduce the green fee; it is a superb course snaking along the rugged coast with views to the Mournes which were still covered in snow during Easter Week. Great dining at Aldo's and the golf club in town and at Curran's a couple of miles along the coast; also great Guinness at £2.90 a pint in the interesting Commercial Inn. This is a great house from which to explore County Down and beyond, made warm and memorable by our hosts. Many thanks.
