I took us two planes and a drive to get to Cabot Links, but certainly worth the effort. 3 of us made the trip to play 5 courses in Cape Breton and Cabot Links was the first. We stayed on-site and the rooms are quite nice, not large, but very nicely appointed with a great view of the first tee and the St. Lawrence.

We were not able to eat in the main restaurant as it was fully booked for the two nights we were there so the first night we ate in bar. The food was very good but somewhat expensive. The second night we drove 10 minutes down the road and ate at the Glenora Inn and Distillery. The food and service was oustanding and we thought very reasonably priced.

The golf at Cabot Links did not disappoint. We played 36 holes with caddies and the experience was outstanding. The course played hard and fast like a links course should and of course the wind was always a factor. We played the top courses in Northern Ireland last year and this course was as close to true links golf as I have played in North America and I include Bandon Dunes in the comparison. It was a brillant way to start our trip.

I would go definitely go back when the 2nd 18 is ready and make it a three or four day stay

Thank you for making the trip to Cape Breton and to Cabot! I am glad you made it to this side of the Island and enjoyed your time with us.

I was disappointed to here that we were unable to accommodate you in Panorama. It has been a very busy season here in Inverness but we should have made a better effor to take good care of you. Please let me know when you can make it back this way as I would like you to have the complete experience.

We have had an amazing season on the course as well and the on course conditions are certainly a testament to the great job that our Turf Crew has done this year. We had Graeme MacDowell and Graham DeLaet in head to head match in September and even the pros had great things to say about the property. Stay tuned for more on that!

Cabot Cliffs is well under way with a few of the holes seeded already. The fall weather has been incredible and the team is hard at work in an effort to capitalize on that. The layout is sensational and we look forward to sharing that with our guests before too long.

Thanks again for joining us here at Cabot and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Best regards,
Andrew

A recent trip with two pals was the best golf experience of my life. A beautiful links course with 25C sunny weather the last weekend of September and an abundance of scenery both natural and human. Hotel and staff really get it in terms of attentiveness and giving you space to enjoy the scenery of the newly constructed gem. Staff on the golf course were helpful when asked and blended into the great scenery so as not to take away form the experience with some minutae golf tip about using 2 less clubs during a 37.3 mile per hour southwest wind. Good food and beer selection including international faves and local delights....lobster sliders at the 9th hole canteen were superb. Methinks this will be an annual trip.....did I mention the upscale soaker tub and toiletries?

Room Tip: Not sure what rooms have a window that opens but I felt cheated in Room 110 that I coulddn't go...

Wow! Thank you for the wonderful comments on our property and our staff. We'll have an even wider selection of product from which to choose from next year, and we'll ensure we have the same great sliders at the turn! We would love to see you again next year, and those to follow.

Thanks again.

Andrew

I had high expectations of Cabot Links and they seemed low by the time we finished. Our foursome could not wipe the smiles off our face from the time we drove onto the property. The course is amazing, the views are amazing even for a Maritimer, the course is very fair. We each had a caddie and they are wonderful and informative. The hospitality at the restaurant for breakfast was wonderful and willing to go out of the way to make everything enjoyable. Will be going back yearly!

This was the best value hotel of the trip for us - Based on the rate at the time, which we booked via the tourism office on the entrance to Cape Breton. Brand new, smartly designed room, bathroom. Awesome big windows on to the golf course and the sea just beyond it. gorgeous! windows don't open though. restaurant for din/breakfast is pricy, fairly good and fancy.

Thanks for joining us and I am glad you were able to make a booking outside of the traditional methods! We are off to a very good start here at Cabot but we certainly have more to do. The windows will be taken care of this Winter and look for some new offerings at the restaurant as we open next season. It is a very exciting time here and I am glad that we were able to have you with us.

Andrew

The new Cabot Links Resort has it all. Wonderful rooms with a view (golf course and the St Lawrence Seaway), superb restaurants (3 total) a gift shop and a challenging 18 hole links course (with another 18 holes to open in 2015).

Room Tip: second floor rooms offer more privacy - but all rooms have a view.

Played Cabot Links Sept. 2. The course was in superb condition, plus we had only about a 15 klm. wind. Perfect conditions. The one thing that I noticed, different from almost all other courses in Nova Scotia, was the pacing of the other golfers by the starter, once we started playing, we never seen anybody in front or behind us. We also were fortunate to meet a couple from Toronto who were a blast to golf with. Just a great time. Plan to go back at least twice next year.

Incredible, attentive staff. When a manager heard we were a family of five he immediately contacted housekeeping to send over more towels, without our asking. Location cannot be beat. Beach was beautiful for swimming, calm and on average 75 degrees. Two great restaurants, one upscale and one great for family. Food was excellent in both.
I just wish they had a direct path to the beach, but understand that would mean people crossing the golf course which isn't ideal.
My husband golfed and absolutely loved it!
