The food is the star attraction here. We were quite pleased with our food choices. Unfortunately we were having a late dinner after sunset and missed what must be an amazing view. There was a mixup with the number of people in our party, partly our fault for changing the number twice as our group grew in size. We were initially told too bad we can't accommodate the extras when after much discussion they finally agreed. When we got upstairs there was plenty of room so not sure what the issue was. A little disappointed with the table and chairs. Also overheard a nasty exchange between two employees-take it out back, I don't want to hear it when I'm paying that much money.

Hard to find but just look for the golf resort & its right beside overlooking the course & ocean. We sat on the outdoor patio & tho windy it was a gorgeous view. Excellent haddock & salad with a delicious lime basil dressing. Great fries too.

Of all the restaurants we tried in Nova Scotia, Panorama stood out the most. The seafood chowder and lobster were standouts - both the best we have ever had. Service was excellent. Great scotch selection, although a touch expensive. The only thing I would change is the ambiance of the room - perhaps some plants or decor to warm up the room. The room provides a great view of the links and beach from the restaurant (great for watching storms and sunsets) but the room did seem a bit sparse.

All in all, an amazing food experience. Do yourself a favour - eat here.

We have spent the last two weeks in Inverness, using it as a base to explore Cape Breton. After trying many restaurants, we all (4 adults) agree that eating at Cabot Links is an experience not to be missed. We ate at Panorama restaurant on Sun., Aug 4 for a late lunch. The view takes your breath away. Serving staff was attentive without smothering, and so pleasant and helpful! Pan fried haddock was the best ever! Large, generous portions, perfectly cooked, fresh and firm tasting and seasoned to perfection. Fish and chips was also the best tasted on the island, thin and crisp batter, large portions, amazing flavour. Fries were unique and tasty with an interesting and complimentary seasoning. Club sandwich was real chicken breast, and cheese and smoked bacon with tomatoes on freshly baked bun and accompanied by a fresh and delicious salad. Crab and Avacado salad was fresh, not overdressed, lovely ripe Avacado and fresh crab in a light mayo sauce. It was probably our favourite meal of our trip, coupled with the ambience of looking over Inverness beach and the golf club. Spotlessly clean and reasonably priced for the quality and generous portions.
We then returned on Aug 5 for an evening meal at the Public House. We were greeted with a friendly smile, despite a packed pub, and escorted to the bar to wait a short time for a seat. Skillet meatballs were tasty and delicious, complimented by melted cheese and accompanied by garlic bread. Ceaser salad was fresh and not over dressed with homemade dressing, real bacon, grated Parmesan and croutons. Pizzas were to die for - hot, fresh, thin bubbly crust and toppings that wored really well together, such as wild mushrooms, arugula, pancetta and truffle oil, and the Carnivore, with pepperoni, sporessatta, Italian sausage, smoked bacon and an amazing tomato sauce. Again, generous portions. Bonus was another amazing server who was friendly, helpful and informative, and an immaculately clean environment. We have only a couple more days, but will be sure to return yet again - it is a stop not to be missed!

The Panorama arranged a good traditional lobster boil for the group I was travelling with. The only issue was the weather which obviously the restaurant was unable to control. The J. Lohr wine selection for the buttery lobster was a very good pairing. I noticed this restaurant had a very extensive wine cellar including local favourites. I also had breakfast and it was fine. The prices were comparable to other locations.
