Visited this place a couple times on days off from volunteering nearby. It is set amongst lovely gardens and has traditional Thai houses and bungalows as well as a nice large and deep swimming pool. The staff are very friendly and quick to respond to any requests. The massage treatments are very good, particularly the aromatherapy massage. I don't know what the accommodation is like as I didn't stay overnight but overall this resort seems very nice.

I came here with many of my colleagues to work in the area. We stayed here for more than a week. The room, facilities were not perfect. WIFI signal in some bungalow was not usable. However, the staff here were really good and friendly. They would do anything they could to assist you in anyway.

If you prefer a semi - wooden bungalow in a semi - forested area, you should not miss this resort.

To echo what others have said, this is located in a beautiful peaceful area. The site is expansive, with a long private approach road and descends to the tranquil Petchaburi river at the rear (on which you can take a boat ride). Clearly this is a rural location, so don't expect hustle bustle or nightlife. The staff were all very helpful, in particular one lady has great English and was incredibly helpful, thoughtful and friendly throughout our visit. Her nickname was Poom (sp?) and is a credit to the establishment. The place could do with a little sprucing up in some areas and the Wifi only seems to work in the restaurant and not in the rooms, but this is overwhelmed by the overall enjoyment of staying there. Easily accessible from Hua Hin, but you either need to be a good map reader or have GPS as Thai road signs don't always include english. There are some dedicated signs as you get within a mile or two but you need to be alert to catch them. Would go back there tomorrow.

I didn't stay here but did spend a day relaxing by pool, eating in restaurant & having several treatments on a day off from volunteering at a nearby wildlife rescue centre.

It's an incredibly relaxing quiet place to be & the treatments I had were good value for money & of great quality (I had the full body scrub & foot massage - each lasting 1 hour)

It's a great little place to explore too; it's kinda like a tropical secret garden.

Food was very nice too.

The hotel is well signposted and we had no difficulty finding it once we got within a few km. Check-in was a couple of minutes but we were allocated one of the bungalows down near the river which was fine but for the fact that it had just rained and the lower part of the site was getting a bit wet. We were only able to get our car within 70m of the room which with a couple of wheeley bags, a few inches of water and no roller-luggage friendly pathways wasn't ideal. In retrospect we should have asked for another room. The bungalow style rooms are nice enough but the aircon isn't great and keeping the bugs out is a challenge. The bathrooms are rudimentary and poorly lit. We arrived quite late and decided to eat at the restaurant. Food was OK, nothing special. Given the location we'd hoped for better fish choices. The reception / restaurant area is connected to the riverside bungalows by a long flight (50+ steps?) of concrete stairs. With heavy, overhanging vegetation the steps are greasy when wet and despite holding onto the rail with one hand and an umbrella in the other, I slipped and fell badly bruising my back. We should have used the road but if a hotel are going to have such stairs they need to be slip-free - these are not. I've been to many of this type of bungalow-in-the-forest hotels in Thailand over the years and usually like them, but the Petchvarin Resort has too many problems for a revisit from me.

Room Tip: Not a good choice if you don't like steps, stairs and narrow pathways.
