We were in Europe on short trip and spent maximum number of days in Amsterdam (3 nights). Before arriving, I contacted the hotel to get details of their shuttle service (frequency, timings, etc). Just to prep myself before I land and then complain about things without knowing.

So, after we landed, we walked to the shuttle bay which is at the corner, next to bus station. Radisson group hotels are all under one board. They have different busses, so sometimes you will see a big white bus and sometimes black/green mini bus. They both will have Radisson and Park Inn board/sticker on them. Its every 20 mins and after mid night you have to call the hotel from the shuttle bay for pickup. You dont have to pay for the call, so dont worry, just press the button next to Radisson sticker and someone from customer support will transfer your request to the hotel. Shuttle will be their in 10 mins.

As other members rightly mentioned, sometimes the shuttle stops right in front at the bay and sometimes a little away, depending on the traffic and shuttl buses standing their, so keep an eye on Radisson/Park Inn. We took the shuttle during our stay and everytime, shuttle waited for atleast 3-4 mins to pick last minute guests, and didnt just leave, unless the bus was full or had no more place for the guests/luggage.

While using the shuttle from hotel to airport, dont forget to take the shuttle tokens from the reception. If you don't have it, you won't be alllowed to get in. And if you are not on time, shuttle will leave as there are other guests waiting in Park Inn and in the paid parking areas.

Hotel is 10-15 mins drive from the airport, as the shuttle stops at paid parking areas for pickup and drop and also at Park Inn. We reached before 2 PM and our room was not ready, so we asked whether we can use the fitness center shower room to change and freshen-up, and the answer was "Ofcourse!" Before we left for the city, we were informed that our room was ready and we were extremely happy. Much more happier when we found that we were upgraded to Business Class room, with a view of the pond.

Room was very clean and tidy, well maintained; and we found the same every evening upon our return from the city. During our stay there were couple of tour groups (4-5 tour buses in parking lot at night) but it was super quite and staff managed them well too. During breakfast time, the staff manage brilliantly. Breakfast was pretty good too.

We did not eat at the restaurant so can't provide any inputs but if you want to try or craving for something, you have to take the shuttle to the airport. So food options are limited.

Just like any other airport hotel, it sometime happens that people get night vouchers from airlines becuase of flight delay, cancellations. So you might see tens of people at the shuttle bay in the night. Just be prepared to catch the shuttle bus and take a seat. Usually its the big ones at the night, but it can really get packed very quickly. We came across this situation but luckily I was the first to get in the bus (I already knew how the bus looks like). And whenever this happens, you will find queue in the lobby for the elevator. Dont panic, just go with the flow :)

Even if you are a bit far from the airport, you are well connected with the city - shuttle plus trains from Schipol to Amsterdam Central Station. And its better to stay near Schipol, if you plan to travel to Hague (for Madurodam), Rotterdam, Utrecht as there are ICs from Schipol, and are fast. And it also saves some money.

Overall it was a wonderful experience, and we had a very relaxing last leg of our Europe trip. Will stay in the same hotel whenever we go to Amsterdam again.

It has all you need and a ten minute taxi ride to / from the airport.

The offices I work at are close, so it's where I stay and is a quick walk to work.

The bar is ok, food is good and the gym and rooms are the best of the hotels around

One thing that I really like, and even with it being close to the airport, are the views... Very relaxing.

We chose this hotel because another TA member mentioned the free shuttle vs. taxi fare to the airport. Upon arriving at Schiphol we followed the signs to the hotel shuttles and stood dutifully under the one for Radisson Blue, waiting in the relentess sun (I know, shouldn't complain) for about 20 before seeing a shuttle turn in the distance and leave. Upon checking the bulletin board for all the shuttle info, read that the Blu's shuttles were orange or blue and might stop somewhere else along the long curb. So we watched and watched and saw white Blu shuttle start to drive away. It didn't stop for us despite frantic waving. Angry phone call, another 20 mins. (now almost an hour in the sun) and a black shuttle pulled to the curb in the distance, we grabbed it and went to the hotel.

After that, everything was as you'd expect--decent, clean, ordinary. Nothing to complain about for the hotel itself. You just have to keep your eyes peeled and search up and down the curb for the Radisson Park and Blu shuttle.

So the Radisson Blu Schiphol is situated near to the airport but does not suffer from aeroplane noise.
I have stayed at this hotel over 20 times as it is close to my office in Holland.
The service is always excellent. The room as well maintained and the beds are very very comfortable.
With free wifi it is easy to keep in touch with the family via Skype or Facebook.
The restaurant has a good menu and the buffet style breakfast has all you would expect such as full English or Continental.
Being quite some way from Amsterdam, a taxi can cost quite a bit. One option is to get the free shuttle back to the airport and then catch a train to the city center. Only costs a few Euros and does get you out of your hotel room.
Though I do like this hotel, I would not recommend it for those who wish to visit Amsterdam as the hotel is quite a long way away.
For simple stop overs or for business trips it is ideal.
I always enjoy my stays and look forward to visiting again.
