“Island Pizza”
Review of Lovin' Oven II

Lovin' Oven II
Price range: $2 - $17
Cuisines: Italian, Pizza
Description: Lovin' Oven is a family owned and operated restaurant catering to the locals of the island. Clean, fresh, and simple is the key to our "made from scratch" breads, desserts, pizza dough, sauce, and even the salad dressings. Breakfasts, daily soup, and specials for lunch and dinner are a big hit. We cut fresh potatoes for fries to compliment burgers or sandwiches on our savory dill bread. Jim Moats invented the pizzas back in the 70's and we strive to keep him proud of all his creations and flavor combinations. Our liquor license is from 11 am to well after closing. Custom made to order takes more time than fast food outlets, so please be patient or better yet, pre-order hours ahead of when you want to pick it up. We also have delivery anywhere south of Lakberg Road for $5. Keeping the prices low has it's draw backs for things like esthetic improvements, and we apologize for it is a work in progress. Thanks to local artisans we have something on the walls! Every Summer we try to be open 7 days a week if there's enough staff and we are hopeful again this year. Hope you can give our unique home-style food a try.

“Island Pizza”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

We ordered a large pizza for 4 people. Each of us had two slices each and it were satisfied. The crust is fantastic and the sauce and toppings done just right. Wish I'd had a chance to have it again during my visit.

“terrible customer service”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Terrible customer service, average food. Gave this place another shot, and left just as disappointed as the last time. The people working here really need to learn proper customer service skills. When someone walks into a restaurant, they expect to at least be greeted or smiled at. But unfortunately, there were no hellos or smiles to be given. It's like I was a burden to them by being there. I definitely won't be recommending the "Lovin'" Oven to anyone looking for a nice place to eat.

“Finally! Access to great pizza!”
Reviewed July 23, 2013 via mobile

We've taken to biking to the ferry, riding over, taking a little tour around Quadra on bikes - in order to have a guilt free dinner of pizza and beer. Yum Yum! Innovative toppings, gluten free choices, crisp fresh salads.....ambiance good - clean bathrooms ;-). Try it!

“Decent place for lunch”
Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

Came here for a quick bite - not too many places to choose from on Quadra Island, and we were probably best bringing sandwiches to eat on the beach.

Attracted to this place since the sign said "pizzeria" but more of a sandwich place for lunch. I had the grilled ham & cheese - bread was DELISH! Hubby had 2-slice pizza lunch. Both came with huge salads.

Reasonably-priced. Patio overlooks parking lot so not the best.

“Customer Service - FAIL!”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Ordered an "all meat" pizza. Received mushroom, onion, with a little meat underneath. Called to ask for an "all meat" as I do not like mushroom, nor did we order them, and they advised this was their all meat selection. Who puts mostly mushroom and onion on an all meat pizza? Regardless, they would do nothing about it so we threw it out and went to a restaurant. Also asked on the phone if they took credit card, response was yes, however when the cab arrived they said debit only. I would not recommdend this place to anyone based on the poor customer satisfaction or service.
